I'm going to Paris in July. Please give your hotel recommendations.

Hotel Moliere in the 1st Arrondissement is excellent. My wife and I also enjoyed staying at the Hotel des Deux Continents in the St. Germain district. Both are close to a lot of restaurants and museums.

We've stayed at Hotel d'Aubusson a couple times. Technically, it's in the 6th but borders the Latin Quarter (5th).

If you're looking to impress, the Prince de Galles is an awesome Marriott property in between the Arc d' Triomphe and the Eiffel tower. If you have shiny status with Marriott, you could get upgraded to a bomb arse suite with a closet bigger than the standard rooms.

Maybe a little late time wise, but would recommend AirBnb. stay new Isle de Cite, also the 6th gets my votes a few blocks off the river.

Even for just two people it is a great.

Budget is extremely important OP. You could be at $250 or $2500/ night.

Also your expected experience would be important. Some people choose location over price, for instance.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Monge in the 5th. Plenty of restaurants and bakeries nearby. 1-2 blocks away from several metro lines.

Maison Chomel in the 6th. Great little hotel. We were there in July.

would recommend AirBnb

I went in December 2024 and would recommend the AirBNB/VRBO route all the way over a hotel so you can live like a local. Someone said VRBO has fewer restrictions in France, making it the better route. I stayed in the 11th arrondissement right on the border of Le Marais (3rd/4th). I also only paid about $150/night for a small apartment for two and absolutely loved it.

HUGE CAVEAT: Make sure there is air conditioning if you are going in July. The place I stayed at in December had nothing but a pedestal fan for cooling. I obviously didn't need it, but let's just say I'm glad I went in December and not the hot months.
