Duration I’m thinking 10-14 days
Must see is for sure Alhambra/Grenada, Barcelona, Seville, Madrid.
Gibraltar and a bullring would be a dream trip but not sure distance makes possible
Budget not sure. I guess 4500-6000
I know that the booker originally said that 2 people pay same price in lodging and trains
But I’m not sure exchange rates or things

You should look into an open jaw. Meaning fly into Madrid or Barcelona and out of the other city. Fly into Madrid. Stay 2 days. Then take trains. Can easily reach Sevilla (which has a bullring and otherwise is incredible) from Madrid on High Speed Train. Granada is 2 hours or so by train to Sevilla. Then can go to BCN. Trains very in price but not more than $60 a person if booked in advance.
Hotels very easy to book online or look into Airbnb. In Granada maybe need 2 days max. I’d spend 5 days in Seville and maybe 3 at end in Barcelona. Fly home from Barcelona.
ETA what’s your departure airport? Dates? You work in athletics do you have a lot of miles from hotels or airlines?

That was going to be my suggestion as well. Fly in one and out of the other. 10 days for me is a little tight for four cities. That means every other day is basically a travel day. I agree about the Seville and Barcelona days. Seville is simply amazing and you can daytrip from there easily.
