Go to Tokyo or Guam?

I am traveling for work in late October and will likely have the option of either Tokyo or Guam. I've never been to either place. Flights are about the same time wise with the trip to Guam having 2 stops. I'm leaning towards Guam because it's still technically a US territory with English speaking people and what appears to be a pretty nice remote island. That said, there is an appeal to seeing Tokyo but i don't know if I want to deal with the language barrier.
To add here, i'll be traveling with a co-worker and i'll be working a good bit so there's somewhat limited time to see things.

Never been to Guam but just completed a work trip in Japan with a week or so in Tokyo. It was an amazing experience.
If you don’t enjoy Asian food, you will not enjoy Tokyo as much as I did.

Guam is an interesting place. There's a ton of Japanese tourists there for a taste of America. There are lots of American chain restaurants and shooting ranges. There's also a large contingent of US military folks and their families. There are a few WWII sites that are cool to visit and some nice beaches too.

For me personally that would be a no brainer, that would be Tokyo. It wouldn't even be close.
But everyone is different. With your limited time, Guam might be a good call for you personally.

Id prob do guam just because tokyo is an easier trip if you wanted in the future. And with limited time you can probably see more in guam vs tokyo.

Tokyo for sure.
It's not a big deal.

2 hour bullet train ride from Tokyo will take you to Kyoto/Osaka. I enjoyed it more than Tokyo.

Maybe if were asking Guam vs North Korea it would be debatable to a degree .

In Japan, we made fun of other military brats that came from Guam.
You'll get along fine in any major Japanese city without knowing more than "Hello" and "excuse me," in Japanese. Nearly everything that is public in Tokyo has signage in English, partially as a part of the Olympic push. Any hotel concierge will write down instructions for taxi drivers in Japanese. Train maps are in English, etc. Even elementary aged American kids had zero problem with getting around, and generally getting into trouble with nearly zero mastery of Japanese.
The only strike against Tokyo in late Spring/Summer is the heat and humidity. Outdoors isn't bad, but in offices it can get uncomfortable. There's some weird principle pushed by the government that everyone suffers together to save money, and that starts with A/C use. I don't think I was ever in an office that was cooler than 78 F, the average office temp was probably 80-82.
