This thread needs a chill pill. Not everyone likes every destination.

If I want some of the best fishing in the world, I could go just go out of venice or head over to Panama/Costa Rica on the pacific side. I haven't been to Cabo, but I can't imagine the beaches are anywhere near as nice as Aruba was.

2 very different experiences. I don't know anyone that goes to Cabo for the beaches.

Not to mention, getting to Cabo is a shade easier than getting to Aruba.

Cabo is not known for their beaches. Their beaches actually suck, as the sand is very grainy. I fished Costa Rica this past year and I actually thought Cabo was much better. You can get a charter in Cabo for 1/3 of the price of charters in CR (at least in Los Suenos, so I can't speak for the rest of CR). The nice thing about Cabo is you are dropping bait about 100 yards outside the marina so you are spending more time fishing and less time getting to your spot. My first marlin I've caught there was about 1/4 mile from the shore line. In Costa Rica, we went about 20 miles (~hour boat ride) to get to the fishing grounds.

Cabo has world class fishing. It's a sport fisherman's dream. It does have a lot going for it but it isn't for everyone when everything is considered.

I don't think I need to go to Cabo after looking at all the pictures in this thread. I'm just gonna layout in the back yard with a drink and scroll through pictures like I'm already there...

Certain threads seem to get polluted with way too many high resolution photos.

Dude. You have a sticky thread with a bazillion photos. Then you feel the need to pollute threads with the same fricking photos you took. Just point people to the sticky thread if you want someone to see your oh so awesome photography. It’s tiring to go through every time someone starts a thread about a place you’ve been to. People start threads for information and not for your pictorials.

End rant.

ETA: The information you give is generally fantastic. There’s just no reason to post the same damned photos in every Cabo thread or Isla thread you come across.

You might consider paying Yoda a visit to learn some patience. You don't have to scroll through anything on this site unless you, yourself, choose to do so.

Or maybe a AA meeting.

Agreed. It's annoying, especially when I'm on my phone, to scroll through the same dozens of pictures in a thread I'd otherwise be interested in reading. Just post a link to the original post. It's the considerate thing to do.
