Do you take the travel size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, soap when you travel?

Technically I bring my own soap, shampoo, and conditioner when I travel in a 3oz bottle but sometimes when I'm in a pinch I have no problem taking.
I will say when I stay at an AirBNB and they have fully bottles of each I refuse to use just because I have no clue what someone may have done to it.
I've actually gone out and bought my own soap when I forgot it before.

I will if I open them and use them. Not really good to anyone else half used.

I also take the toilet paper rolls. You don't think that's factored into the price of the room? I paid for that TP, damnit, and it's coming home with me.

Never wanted to take the 1 ply offered at most hotels, even the best I've stayed in had cheap toilet paper

Absolutely take the soap/shampoo/body wash bottles home, especially in certain countries that always seem to have high quality stuff stocked.
Our guest bathroom is chock full of hotel soaps/shampoos. People really get a kick out of the little Chinese dental kits.
Toilet paper?

Always. I also have my husband take them as well if he is staying in a nice hotel for work travel.
I don't wash and dry my hair everyday...but I wash my bangs every morning in my bathroom sink. So I use the travel size shampoo and conditioner to wash/condition my bangs.
I also use them for other trips (especially camping trips).

I do not take them home. I have enough stuff in my bathroom as is. We used to keep them but it just built up in the bathroom and never got used. I despise clutter.
Honestly I don’t even use them when I’m at the hotel unless I got too lazy to bring my own. The Paul Mitchell branded stuff in Marriott hotels is not actual Paul Mitchell. I use their stuff at home. This is hotel level shampoo with a Paul Mitchell label.

Marriot just announced they are done with small bottles in their hotels fwiw

Oh they’re mounting the things on the walls? Good to know. Some of their Autograph Collection hotels already do that.
It’s kinda shite for the environment to do the small bottles. Wouldn't surprise me if eventually everyone went to mounted dispensers.

Yeah that is their argument is environment, so they will quit with the small bottles. Not sure if this means larger bottles at request or what

Yeah, I 'll throw them in my dop kit for those times I forget to pack my own shampoo or conditioner. The lotion bottles are also handy to keep in my work/laptop bag, though most of them smell too girly.

Let me try to explain it so maybe you understand a little better
A lot of women don't wash their hair everyday. For a few reasons
1) Washing your hair everyday strips natural oils from your scalp. If you have a naturally dry scalp(like I do)...this can make it much worse.
2) If you have long hair...blow drying your hair can take up to an hour depending on the type of hair dryer you have and what hair drying spray you use in your hair.
3) With the invention of dry shampoo spray....you can easily go several days without washing your hair. And it not stink and still feel clean.
I have to wash my bangs everyday and dry them in order for them to style the way I want them. Takes 2 seconds to wash in the sink and 2 minutes to dry with a hair dryer and round brush.

Crappy generic, no.
Decent branded stuff, yes.
Not the shampoo/conditioner, tho. I usually only take a bath gel or a decent solid bar soap.
I always carry a backup small bath bar in my toiletries kit just in case. You never know where a flight delay, overbooked hotel, or other unplanned event will land you. I also carry a quick drying microfiber washcloth too.

I think it just means mounted product. I doubt they’re giving people full sized bottles at request.

I take Dollar Shave Club's asswipes. I also take my own stuff.

Absolutely, and any coffee I don’t drink in the room.

I always bring my own as I feel what is normally provided dries out my hair and skin.

1 Wipe Charlies. Well...they may be more than 1 wipe but they’re a useful product that I bought specifically for travel.
If you AirBnB, you better bring shampoo/soap at a minimum along with your toothpaste/deodorant, etc. For hotels, it’s not as much of an issue.
I always bring a microfiber washrag sized towel, hand sanitizer and a one wipe Charlie in my carry on just in case for travel related cleanliness.
