Cinderella Castle is the worst meal on Disney Property.
Not even close. It isn't even the worst table service in Magic Kingdom. Go to Tony's Town Square and you'll see the difference.

Wow, you have some great, upscale reservations there. Doing the high-brow disney dining scene. Good for you!
We usually stay at the Boardwalk and always try to eat at Flying Fish (wife's fav) and The Yachtsman (my fav and arguably the best steak) every visit. We got lucky with Cali Grill during Fireworks and V&A. We wouldn't normally eat at that many signature restaurants but we have family coming that are willing to take the kids for two nights.

I'm not a huge fan of San Angel Inn. It's not terrible... but it's not terrific either. It's Mexican food. Nothing fancy. It is inside the Mexico pavillion, and it's pretty dark in there. You are not missing anything if you skip it, so if you want to drop one, this would be the one. I would drop it for O'hana dinner if I could.
As soon as a dinner reservation opens at O'hana (probably will once the 60 day window passes) I will make the switch.

We are going for the first time in January with our 3 year old
I know our kids are close in age. I know it isnt the same, but we took our 3 year old to Disney Land for a Day over Thanksgiving. He had the time of his life. Your daughter will love it.

What's the afternoon like for a 3-4 year old? If you use your fast passes and effectively skip the long lines all morning from park opening, are they able to last all day or is it better to take a break for a nap? Mine will usually fall asleep in the car quickly in the afternoon afternoon being worn out. Thinking about leaving around 1-2 for a short nap then come back for th evening and dinner.

The break is probably your best bet. We were there in Oct with out 4-year old and 18-month old. We'd head out of the parks an hour or so after lunch and then come back some time after 4. Sometimes we could get the 4 year old to nap, other times we couldn't. BUT, at least she could just lounge in the room and rest or hit the pool. It seems just going to much less busy environments was enough to keep her from completely melting down at some point during the day.

Will you be bringing a stroller? I know that could be past stroller age? But if you do have a stroller ours' usually pass out in it and we find a good spot to let them nap. If you are talking about a big 4 year old then yeah go back and take a nap and return. I've done both. I'd probably block off 3-4 hours in the middle of the day without fast passes to give yourself time to allow your kid to dictate your moves.

Ours always slept in the stroller. It wasn't until our trip this year that we implimented mid day breaks (first time no stroller).
Forget the umbrella strollers. Forget the hard plastic ones tey rent there. If you you don't have a nice jobber (Bob, etc) rent one there from a place like Orlando Stroller rental. The couple of minutes getting it on and off the bus will be VERY worth it for the ease of use throughout the day, storage and ability for mid day naps/breaks while mommy and daddy drink and make fun of people with fanny packs.

For our most recent trip we rented one from Magic Strollers. They bring to your hotel. Literaly one hand, one second fold up - you pull one strap and it folds together. Unfolding you undo one clip. Was great, because if the kid falls asleep, you can push them all the way to the front of the bus line.

We got there at 9am and left at 6pm. He naps when were home, but he can do without and be ok. He was whipped when we got home though. We did 4 rides before lunch. Two with fast passes. Then after lunch and an Ice Cream stop, we did 4 more with only one fast pass. It was a Peak day and the longest line we had was a 40 minute wait. Talking to my Cousins in Cali they said we did a pretty good amount of stuff in one day.

Without a doubt rent the jogging stroller. For the above reasons and the fact you can get around the park way faster. My oldest was 6 and I would throw her in the stroller and fly to the other side of park. And I ain't gonna lie, at the end of some days I wanted to get pushed back in the stroller.

Yep, we rent from Kingdom Strollers. Stroller is delivered to our resort before we arrive and we leave it with Bell Services after checking out. So convenient plus they're incredibly easy to fold.

Just added a day to our trip in May. I can't believe I missed it but we were scheduled to come home the day before Memorial Day and since we haven't booked airfare yet, now we got an extra day.

Kingdom looks like it has the best variety and price. Is it big enough for a 5 year old you think?

How much are these?
My wife is trying to talk me into bringing our stroller (a Bob) but I know who will be handling that thing in the airport and whatnot and it won't be her

quote:BRING IT! It's nice to have through the airport actually. Whether to carry stuff in or to get the kid moving quickly if necessary. And It's great to have during your whole time there. Disney is a TON of walking. With a 3yo it's a must. It's nice to have your own with you that everyone's used to as well. The airport thing isn't so bad. And you don't get charged for it as luggage. If you really don't want it through the airport though, definitely rent. Don't use the ones in the parks. They're uncomfortable and you don't have them outside of the parks. Also, you waste valuable time getting/returning them.

Dole Whip is amazing. Also, you can't use the snack credit for this one, but in Animal Kingdom, there is a Dole Whip infused with rum. Yes!!!! You can get coconut rum or dark rum. I had one of each. The dark rum I thought was better… the coconut rum made it too sweet.
They stole this idea from the people that have been sneaking in rum for decades at MK for this sole purpose. I do it every time.

It's easy as can be in the airport. Roll it right up to the moment you get in the plane and it will be there when you land at MCO. The only reason I would rent is if I was driving and didn't have enough room for the stroller.
Just the walk from the registration desk to your room can be 1/4+ miles and I've got a big bag of nopes for wanting to carry mine while the wife is towing all our carry-one.

This is why we rent from a third party....the stroller is waiting for us at the front of the resort. Umbrella strollers aren't a pain in an airport, I get that, but in our situation with 2 kids it's really nice to have the larger stroller that can hold a diaper bag as well as other stuff underneath.

Yeah, if I was driving and couldnt fit it I would rent a jogger for sure but since the airlines don't charge and there are benefits to having it in the airport, I see nor reason to not just bring my own.
