Figured why not? We all love travel on this page, so let’s share personal photos. I’ll try to keep it updated daily. Only one from me per day.

Took this image today while on break perusing the lakeshore of Lake McDonald.

From this past Sunday when I got back to the Buffalo airport, 1/4" - 1/2" of ice everywhere. Spent 20 minutes hacking at my car to drive home

The beer pic made me think of this one - enjoying a beer on top of Mt Pilatus, Switzerland. May be the most relaxed that I’ve ever felt.

Eagle Beach, northern panhandle of SE Alaska. Located in Lynn Canal, North Americas largest Fjord.

Glacier Bay N.P. is located on the other side of the mountains on the horizon, the Chilkat Range.

Directed this to Roger in another thread which got buried.

Can some of you give me one or two <$1000 mirrorless or DSLR + lens setups for someone with no real photography experience and wants to take decent outdoor photos that can be blown up past 18x20 and framed.

In doing a couple hours of research, it looks like a6000 and E-M10 Mark II night be the best bodies in that range.

Depends on what you want to do with it? The Olympus and Panasonic cameras are phenomenal and easy to use, the only problem I have with them is the micro 4/3rds sensor is pretty small. Will not make much of a difference most of the time but in lower light it will.

Sony cameras have been described as an electronic device that works as a camera. The menu is hard to use but...they are pioneers in much of the technology. Their lenses are kind of meh though.

Might look at the Fujifilm models. I've got this setup and there is no better kit lens on the market than the XF18-55. Fujifilm lenses are the best in the industry, but are pricey.

One good thing about Fujifilm compared to Sony, is that Sony puts out new models every year or so, Fujifilm updates the software so the old model stays current.
