Bucket List Travel: what is still on your bucket list either domestically or international

For me Paris, I've always put it off because I want to go when I'm married or engaged (single currently) and make it romantic.
Other than that Pompeii, Madagascar, South Africa, Egypt, and I've never explored Asia. Although I was lucky enough to stay in an airport on the way back from Australia due to some plane issues.

South Africa is definitely at the top of that list for me.
New Zealand would be next.

The Taj Mahal and Himalayas and India in general. Good chance I'll do this in November.
Antarctica
Thailand - Chiang Mai in particular
Patagonia
Madagascar
South Africa
Hong Kong
A month in Australia - Tasmania, Cairns, maybe drive across it.
Vietnam
Machu Pichu - maybe, not entirely convinced for this one
Hawaii and Rhode Island to make all 50

Paris- think I’m going in december
I feel this man.. definitely an allure of going with a girl, I’m actually trying to get a girl to go with me for December
Bora bora
Switzerland in the winter/christmas- seeing some of those villages that are all lit up in the snow seems amazing
Pyramids in Egypt- give me one afternoon there to take it in and I’ll get the frick out of Egypt

The Taj Mahal
I'd never want to put myself in the way of a man (or woman) and his dream. But the Taj Mahal as vastly, sorely, completely over-rated. The beauty and craftsmanship that you experience at the Taj Mahal is completely overshadowed during the 1.5 - 2 hour drive to get there. It seems the roads leading to TM is the lined absolute poorest people in the world.
As for the Bucket List:
* Make a trans-Atlantic crossing in a sailboat/catamaran with my family.
* Travel through the Panama Canal with same sailboat.
* Sail from Panama to French Polynesia, down to NZ, Australia... and then ultimately sell the boat after a year or two of sailing around the world.

Poor people aren't a good reason to miss out on seeing a site. If anything it should serve as a reminder to how lucky we are to be born in the US.

I've worked in Pakistan several times and know what you are talking about. It's not just the Taj, I want to get a feel for India, the good and the bad. If the trip works out I'll be on the road a good bit (maybe a couple of train legs) but will spend more time in wildlife preserves and the Himalayas than in the cities.

I happened to go by myself for super cheap once although I was dumped a few months prior to the trip

I've been blessed to have been able to travel to a number of countries. Tough to say what's on the current bucket list but I would say I really want to see a Krampus parade in Austria in December!
