Looking to stay a week in April where every morning I can walk into clear water from the resort beach and get some good snorkeling in where I don’t have to swim out half a mile.

Thanks

Sin Duda villas in Xcalak Mexico. 75’ from the room to the water with reefs as far as the eye can see. Shallow water with another reef that acts as a wave break 600yards offshore.

There are no resorts, but Bonaire has the best shore diving in the Caribbean. Pretty much just a dive island, but there is a town with some decent restaurants.

Barcelo Maya Palace, just south of Playa del Carmen. Straight out from the Palace’s buffet restaurant area, about 70 yards. The reef is another 50 yards out but you don’t need to go that far. The best snorkeling I’ve ever done.

The Presidente in Cozumel has great snorkeling off their shore: They have a ship wreck you can snorkel out to full of fish and marine life.

This is in Turks and Caicos and was absolutely amazing. There is a resort right in front of it, but you could get there from a public beach. There were a few other sites that you could walk in and snorkel from there as well.

Secret Harbor in St. Thomas has great walk in snorkeling, as well as an onsite dive shop. You can also day trip over to St. John and snorkel off a few different beaches. Trunk Bay has a snorkeling trail.

This. You are at the sea turtle sanctuary snorkeling. We saw multiple big sea turtles and other things everyday

Yes! We stayed at the resort on Grace Bay and walked out to the reef daily to snorkel. Saw octopus, turtles and lobster. Easiest snorkeling around.
Also Roatan West End is a great option for easy access snorkeling.

For sure. Two little trips around Half-Moon Bay and I saw a turtle, squid, stingrays, and a great variety of fish.

West Bay Roatan was great. I would love to do Bonaire.

Which resort? Looking at this now. Windsong looks like it's right on a good reef.

The snorkeling on West Bay Beach, Roatan was a lot of fun. We went there from a cruise ship but there are several resorts on that stretch of beach you may want to look into.

You can't swim therre. Seriously strong current and it's posted as a no swimming area. There is a large tidal pool to the right of the hotel beach that can be waded into.

I echo West Bay Beach on Roatan. It's a very nice little beach.
