Secrets Akumal in Mexico. Amazing snorkeling and a cool little area ...
I have asthma and other pulmonary issues, and have found the old navy face masks easiest to breathe in. I’m certain they aren’t effective. I had covid in November (regardless of whether or not the mask had anything to do with that, who knows). But I’ve worn them for extended periods of time on plane...
I think you will enjoy it! We stayed a few days in Matera (also highly recommended) and then took the local train over to Bari and then on to Polignano. From there, we did a day trip over to Alberobello and some nearby hill towns with an absolutely NOT recommended guide. But, other than that dude, ...
Cinque Terre remains one of my absolute favorite places on earth. We were there in July of 2017, but I researched ahead of time to be there when no cruise ships were in port nearby to avoid the crazy crowds of day trippers. We arrived by train and had no problems doing so. Easy. We stayed three ni...

re: Easy Jet flights within Europe

Sometimes we’ve flown “business class” on those types of flights (which usually includes checked bag, seat assignments, priority boarding— so you don’t have to worry about added fees) for cheaper than the regular fare on the big name airlines. I know Ryanair often has sales where business class is €...
For our family trips,we have Disney at Easter, followed by our first time going to Universal. Then we have two weeks (latter half of July) in Switzerland, followed by a short Lake Como stay. In the fall, my husband and I will do a Caribbean/Mexico trip with other couples, but that’s not planne...
We have been to a few AI’s over the years with other couples. All were adults-only, which is nice and I’d definitely recommend that for a honeymoon. Here’s a brief summary of the ones in which I’ve stayed- Secrets The Vine- in Cancun, good food, nice rooms, lots of people, plenty of activities, e...
We (husband, me, 3 elementary aged kids) visited both cities in July, walked pretty much everywhere, and always felt safe. We stayed in apartments rented via vrbo or FlipKey. In Florence, we were across the street from the Academia. In Rome, we stayed in a residential area right by Piazza Navona. ...

re: Any Opinions on Jet Blue

The jet blue flight we took from msy to Boston last year was probably the best coach flight I've been on. ...
Thanks everyone for your opinions. I decided to spoil the surprise and just ask which he'd prefer. :/ He chose Iceland. ...
We stayed at that very resort last October. (It was kind of a disappointment, btw...) Anyway, they had warnings re: Zika everywhere and sprays for guests to use, etc. The only time mosquitoes got us was when we went on a day trip away from the resort (which was the highlight of the trip in spite of ...
That brings up a question that maybe some of you can answer- Will the roads be easily drivable at the end of October? If any special knowledge of winter driving is needed, I'm not sure if driving ourselves is a good idea. Anyone that's been in late October/early November remember what road conditio...
I'm planning a fall trip for my husband and have narrowed it down to two options. Before I go too far with my planning, I thought I'd ask for opinions, given that he may share similar interests with many of you. He likes hiking, visiting new places, and LSU football. We like to stay in nice/safe/c...

Yeah, iPads make flying overseas with kids so much easier. We'll be fine (if this goes into effect before our summer italy vacation) with the movies on the plane, books, notepads, etc., but, seriously- what's the difference between an iPad mini that my eight year old would be playing on and my iPhon...

MeTarzanYouInsane- I like your itinerary. OP- awesome review! Thanks so much!...
Thanks for the advice (if you were indeed replying to me). We travel with our three elementary aged kids (6, 8, 11), so I have to have at least a rough plan of what we will be doing so I can make sure to include things that they would like in addition to things my husband and I would enjoy. So, even...
Sounds great! We're doing a very similar trip this July: Venice 2 days, Florence 3 days and a day trip to Volterra and san gimignano from Florence, 3 days in riomaggiore (cinque terre) stopping in Lucca to bike the city walls on the wall there and in pisa for the leaning tower on our way back from c...

My dad drives one of his antique motorcycles across the country every couple of years in the Motorcycle Cannonball. [link=(http://www.motorcyclecannonball.com)]LINK[/link] They generally avoid interstates. Maybe digging around online for some of the old routes they have used will give you some ideas...
