Best place to stop between Shreveport and Dallas on i10?

Need to be in Dallas for VEX robotics championship Sunday at noon. 11 hour drive to Dallas for us. Figured we'd stay someplace between Dallas and Shreveport Saturday night. that would give us a short ~1-2 hour drive into Dallas Sunday morning. Any of the exits off i20 we should consider v. another? Clean hotel and good breakfast would be the top considerations.

Marshall, Tx, is not bad at all. Either there or Longview, which is 20 miles closer to Dallas.

Thought about that but the convention center doesn't open until 12 for the Robotics competition so getting there early isn't going to do much for us but sit around and weight. Something past Shreveport is ~8 hours not counting stops so someplace betweeen Shreveport and Dallas would put us close to dinner time we can just stop, check in and grab some local food.

Any place that has a “Texas Smokehouse” in its mega gas station complex has great bathrooms & food/drink options. Longview & above Tyler areas have the best ones.

A number of service stations along that route have great sushi.

Exit 540 has 2 loves truck stops, weird I know, and a Marriott hotel or two. That will put you about 90 minutes from downtown Dallas. The hotels are just a couple years old.

The only ding on Tyler is the city and places like Stanley's are 20 minutes south of I-20.
Longview is right there on I-20, as is Terrell. Lots of hotels popping up in the Terrell area. Bucc-ees moved in, and it took off.
