If this is your first trip overseas and want to go to England, I would suggest flying to London, stay there for a few days and take the Eurostar train to Paris. You could spend a week in both cities and take day trips.
Or, do the big three in Italy - Rome, Florence and Venice.

It was our first time to those countries. There are castles all over. Is there a particular one you want to see? I’m not familiar with King & Conqueror.
On the bus tour we went to Warwick Castle; saw a jousting batch and predator bird show there. Saw a military tattoo (military bands performing) in Edinburgh Castle. Cardiff had a castle but we didn’t go in that one because there was a concert. And we toured the Tower of London on our own.
We saw many signs for other castles as we rode through the country.
Before going I thought I could easily adapt to driving on the left; I don’t think that now. If there is a specific castle you want to see figuring out how to get to it may take some planning.

There is no need to be concerned about the language barrier because English will be spoken in just about every place you will want to go in France or Italy
If you just want to stay in England, that is fine. They speak some semblance of English there, although not as well as we speak it in south Louisiana.

This is all you need besides USB cables. Every respectable place of lodging will have a hair dryer, and it's cheaper to buy a straightener or other high wattage device at a local convenience store than it is to try to haul a voltage converter around.

If you have western EU, UK ancestry read up on the histories and head for your "country of origin". Knowing where you came from is good. Don't worry too much about language. In last 20 years English has penetrated deeply many places. In England, Scotland and Ireland you'll have the best opportunity to have personal chats with locals. Scots are most welcoming. Brits are least and seldom warm up unless there have been some prior contacts.
Australia, New Zealand, Iceland etc. have destination landscape and less of a history draw. You can get similar landscape in Wa state, BC and lower Alaksa. Rural BC is very similar to NZ... even has lots of jade.
Turkey is a good beginners destination in Middle East if you stay far from Syrian border.
