Bachelor Party- White Water Rafting

Please walk me through this for those of you that have been with a bachelor party or just in general.
Where is a good place to go? Is there anything else to do around there? How long does it last?
Literally, I know nothing.
TIA

Can last 1/2 day, full day or multiple days depending on where you raft. The spring can be really good with snow melt fueling good rapids, no rain equals limited white water

Costa Rica has some good rapids. Book your house through JacoVIP.
Thank me later.

Ocoee outside of Chattanooga is awesome.

Lots of outdoor activities around there, then there's Chattanooga for nightlife. IIRC, Ocoee is about 30-45 minutes from Chattanooga.

Ocoee is 2 sections, and doing both is about a 1/2 day. About 4-5 hours as I recall. One section is pretty gnarly with some big rapids.

Do Ocoee and head to Atlanta if you want boobies at night, don't attempt to find them in Chattanooga.
Big nice cabins in the north georgia and west nc mountains if you don't want boobies. Lots of trout fishing in that area too.

1) Where or what state do you live? (IE: What radius are you willing to consider or can you to go anywhere?)
2) What time of year? (greatly matters)

Live in BR. Most of the group is in the Southeast.
Can travel anywhere in Southeastish with ease.
Thinking labor day weekend/ August/ September timeframe.

That time of year in the southeast it's going to be a dam release unless an extremely (and unusually) wet end of summer.
Like Dam Guide mentioned Ocoee (Tennesse) would be a good option. Another possibility would be an over-nighter on the Gauley (WV) doing both upper and lower it's dramatically more fun (squared). It usually has releases starting 1st week in Sept. End of June is the last Cheoah (NC) release for the summer. That's probably top 3 in southeast in that time frame. You'll be a little too early for later Cheoah releases or Russell Fork Rendezvous.

I did the Ocoee when I was a teenager a couple of times during the summer months.
It was on a church trip actually, I recall one of our chaperones falling out of the boat on the first rapid while we were still launching rafts. He freaked out while floating thru the rapid and grabbed onto a lady that was kayaking and gave her a few barrel rolls.

Gauley or Ocoee in the East. Not familiar with Western options.
Nantahala is fun because they let you go without a guide.

I second this one. Did it for a friend's bachelor party. That was the best rafting trip I've taken.

We probably didn't know where to go, but this area was lacking.

I would highly recommend Asheville, NC. Plenty of OUtdoor activities around the area including Whitewater rafting. The rapids aren't as big as in some other places but the selection of local craft breweries is better than anywhere else.

If I remember right, the very first rapid after the launch is one of the biggest rapids there. I would have freaked out as well. I got tossed in one of the later rapids, and there's just nothing you can do but let the water take you where it wants to.

It's not the biggest in terms of classification, but the longest of them and if you've never been rafting before you don't get a few "warm up" rapids to work on paddle technique like other rivers.

The water was rough that day I recall, there was a line of rafts waiting to get in. Everyone was having trouble launching, getting everyone in the raft and shoved off without people falling out.

Ah yes, now I remember. I just remember you have to hit it at a certain angle to float/ride it best. Several before and after us were having troubles, but we got through cleanly. I think it was Double Trouble that tossed me and the girl in front of me out.
