Was disappointed to see neither Emirates nor Etihad flew into CDG

Title speaks for itself - flights in/out of either ATL, JFK, or EWR to and from CDG

Preferably in a business class or prem economy.

Don’t have any airline status or preference

New airline La Compagnie looks interesting into ORY

Would like the flight to be a nice experience as the trip will be a quick one

Brother in law flew La Compagnie from EWR to Orly in June and said the experience was very good. All business class seats.

I've only used American to/from CDG from Charlotte and had good experiences. As long as you don't have to change from one carrier to another at CDG things work well. Transportation from one terminal to another can be slow & painful.

For that kind of flight, your option is going to be a domestic carrier, Air France/La Compagnie, or a random 5th freedom. Which emirates uses to fly jfk to Milan. Singapore flies a 747 to Manchester England Iirc from Houston. Not sure about other ones.

So probably the Air France a380 is what you are looking for. I believe they still fly it from Miami and maybe Atlanta. Otherwise probably various airlines versions of a Dreamliner or triple 7.

Just flew Airfrance hit of CDG

I thought CDG was one of the shittiest and worse designed airports I have been in, and I thought the service and plane of Airfrance was awful, worse than American domestics

I'm flying Air France premium economy from IAD to CDG on Monday night. I'll update with my experience.

Atlanta does not handle A380 flights at all. Delta normally flies A330 or 767 to CDG. Air France uses 777.

They both do, just not direct from the states.

AF's longhaul fleet is mainly A350's and Boeing 777's, especially stateside with some 787's sprinkled in. In Business class on those routes I'd probably rank them as

1. AF New Business Class Seat on the 77W JFK-CDG
2a. United Polaris
2b. Delta One Suites
3. AF Old Business Class
4. American Airlines Business Class
5. Delta One (Non-suites)
6. JetBlue Mint Suite (Great product, but still a narrowbody)
7. La Compagnie (Narrowbody and since they're a boutique airline there is less recovery from IRROPS)

Agree with this, but I'd move Mint up

Is the new Air France business the 777-300ER?

Well they are based in Dubai and Abu Dhabi respectfully. There are a few flights that operate out of base but they are specific routes and don't match your criteria.

La Premerie for Air France is probably your best bet.
Delta One out of JFK
Polaris with United out of EWR
World Business Class on KLM via AMS
Club World on British via LHR
Flagship Business on AA via JFK

Each offers unique hard and soft products.

Maybe it's changed, but we flew to Paris on the Air France A380 in 2019. Booked the flight through Delta since Air France is part of Sky team.

There's a small section in the back of the top of the plane that's economy. The rest of the upper deck is premium economy, first class, etc.

They both do. Dubai and Abu Dhabi respectively. Multiple times daily.

La Compagnie

Sounds like a lovely flying experience. No trash to worry about and likely just business people or vacationers.

Mint is only as low as it is because I find narrowbodies uncomfortable for long TATL flights

Yes, but only on the ones that don't feature first class.

If Business class starts at Row 3, it'll be the old business class on the 777-300

How were you able to upgrade?

$300 per person. As it was an award flight I felt that for $300 each the upgrade was a no-brainer. If you have a premium economy ticket on Air France you are offered the upgrade at check-in.
