Airlines and Beverage Service
Flying tomorrow for the first time since March. Heading to Las Vegas on Southwest. It seems they aren't serving beer/wine/liquor, but does anyone know if they are serving non-alcohol beverages? Also, does anyone have experience taking airline liquor bottles through security and on to the plane? I've never done that but considering it given the circumstances.

Don't try and smuggle alcohol on - you will definitely get a lot of attention. You are better to mix it in a coke bottle and drink that way -

They are only serving water and go packs - get your stuff before you board and you will be fine -

Attendant told me that they won't serve ice because ice can carry COVID - oh well - just bring it on

Water and some snack mix is what you'll get. If you want to drink alcohol on the plane you'll have to buy it from a terminal bar and pour it a hydraflask or something but you can bring your own snacks through security and on the plane.

They are serving regular drinks for sure, possibly alcohol.

It is a federal offense to bring your own alcohol on a plane and drink it so... if you're that desperate and can't wait four hours, you should go for it.

I don’t remember southwest serving any when I flew with them 2 months ago. Delta served water and alcohol when I flew less than a month ago.

Water is all they give. You can’t bring alcohol on to a plane and drink it. You’re going to Vegas. Just hold off a few hours

Don’t know about Southwest, but Delta was giving out alcohol when we were in Comfort yesterday but not to economy seats.

Thanks for the responses all. After some research, it appears it’s not against the law to bring alcohol on to a flight. However, it is against federal law to bring alcohol on to a flight AND drink it on the flight.

Oh well. I was curious as to others experiences too so thanks for sharing.

Go to total wine and get the 100 ml bottles. I had 10 in my carry on for bachelor party. We poured into water bottles right before getting on the flight to make a nice whiskey/water.

My American Flight to/from Dallas to Phoenix had ZERO Beverage/snack service due to COVID.

American Airlines provided drink service for business class customers on our flight from DFW to Cancun back in September.

The rest of the cabin only received a bottle of water and pretzels when boarding.

First Class is where it's at if you want to booze it up.
