I want them to experience that. Is Breck a good town for 4-5 ladies that are not going to be skiing? How good is it for beginners?

I went to breck in January with a group of 16 and stayed a couple pf blocks off main street in a great place. Breck is more of a town than a lot of the resorts that were resorts first and not cities first. We had four women in our group not skiing and they were able to occupy their day as well as drop us off and pick us up from the mountain.

as far as the catwalks, you just have to know where you are looking to ski and map out the best way to get to it. there is the one from the top of the colorado and rocky mountain super chair that you take to get over to peak 6 and 7. That one does suck even on skis sometimes. other than that they don't seem too bad.

THere is lots of beginner terrain, quicksilver chair is all beginner on peak 9, peak 8 has a couple of lifts that are mainly green runs as well.

Breck will be great for your group. There are some great houses along Four O'clock Road which is both convenient to Snowflake lift and close to downtown. Also, check around Peaks 7 and 8...lots of rental houses close.

You located the tubing park in Frisco. There are several snowmobile outfits in Summit county. Just Google and check reviews. Good luck!

Welcome. That town has some good shopping for the ladies that aren’t interested in skiing. Lots of good restaurants. There’s a variety of terrain for all levels of skill on the mountain. Should suit y’all very well.

Time to get the party started. Drive in from SLC was smooth as silk, arrival lunch at Sammy's was awesome as usual. Looking forward to a week of bluebird days.

Anybody visited Leadville, CO/Ski Cooper lately? Went there as a young fellow and curious if it is still a good place.

Havent been out to Cooper in a while but Im certainly in Leadville a lot. Its halfway between work and home.

Leadville is beautiful and has a lot of history, which makes up for the lack of amenities overall.

Anything specific you want to know about the town?

Cooper is great if your party is happy to bounce around chill groomers. Tennessee Creek Basin has access to legit double black trees. Otherwise, Cooper runs are far more laid back than their rating would suggest.

The price point is much friendlier than surrounding mountains too.

I very much appreciate the PB&J sandwich pic, that's my go-to lunch on the mountains to save at least $25/day. Looks like a great powder day, hope you've been enjoying it

I may do on mountain food one day but it's always a circus in those places so I try to avoid them.

My daily food I take is a pb&j, peanut butter crackers, a granola bar, a CHOMPs beef stick and a 160z beer. I'm a bit weighed down in the morning but I lighten the load throughout the day.

When I don't feel like carrying it we always fly with a small backpack cooler and I'll bring that on the mountain and lock it up somewhere near a lodge and then TSA lock the zippers shut. Yesterday, the damn bag almost dissapeared under the sno within an hour.

I take a tortilla with meat (turkey or ham) and cheese plus trail mix for lunch. In line 15 minutes before lifts open and drink a beer on the last lift of the day when they shut down.

It’s been a meh season thus far, every storm has underperformed with the snow levels rising. Still have gotten some decent days & pretty much everything is covered at this point although. First week of March is looking very interesting!

that is ridiculous. I am flat worn out at 25 miles a day.

We averaged a little over 40 miles per day. I'm usually up and out before the family (first few chairs of the day) and then meet up with them closer to 10 or so.

25" the last three days of the trip was definitely a great way to close it out.

Are you going sideways across the mountain a lot? I looked at some of my days recorded, my highest vertical was 31000 and it was only 26 miles.
