Today was epic at Steamboat, powder everywhere and light crowds. Visibility wasn't great but that didn't really matter since I went straight to the glades, lapping closets and shadows for a few hours. Those aspen glades are playground with what seems like a neverending amount of lines you can take down them.

After a quick break I decided to do the short hike up to North St. Pats and East Face, the snow there was well over a foot deep. Don't have great shot from today but I did the hike yesterday as well. Some of the steepest terrian at Steamboat...

I did the hike three times total and after that my legs were toast, was a great four days of skiing. Definfitely the year to be skiing Steamboat, amazing coverage and the typical great snow quality.

Headed to Squaw (Palisades Tahoe) in two weeks. I know the lift lines will be packed but wanted to see where is the best terrain on the mountain? Also styaying in Tahoe city so any food/drink recs would be appreciated too.

Found a trail map online and between them rebranding as Palisades there's about 5 versions of trail maps out there. I think this one is close to current but someone can easily correct me.

From my experience last year, I really liked the KT-22 lift area with the G.S. bowl. Lift lines were not crowded for that lift in the afternoon and it had pretty soft snow. Plan on this area for afternoons, it is a bit steeper than the other spots.

Make sure you take Headwall Express early in the morning and stay up in that section of the mountain before the crowds pick up. Here's the top of the headwall lift if you go off the back

This includes Siberia Bowl, Cornice Bowl, and Sun Bowl. Sun Bowl pictured here

Here's a look at the Cornice Bowl

I never took the tram while I was there but would think if the lines not bad then you should try and take that. This was one of my favorite mountains that I've ever skied, hope you have a great trip

I'm going to be taking all of your ski spot suggestions from UT, MT, and CO for my upcoming trip. Looks like you're in the middle of a great time

At Crystal today and it may be my best day of the season yet. Crystal got 15" overnight and the sun is out, awesome bluebird day. I'll post pics once I'm home later

Just finished day 2 of 15 @ Heavenly & Kirkwood. Plan to only take off the Sat/Sun of President’s Day weekend.

Good snow all over the mountain. Anywhere in the trees is great.

Best day of the season confirmed. Hit up every lift at the mountain, all sections had great snow throughout the day. Definitely best in the trees and off groomers today

This is the Morning Glory bowl in Northway

It gets steep in Northway but with fresh snow it was excellent

View from the Northway lift

Think this was Right Angle Trees on my way down to the base area

Midday still found untouched stuff

That's enough pics . I've got more but hope others on here get fluffy powder days this season like I had today!

You ended your season early February? This is peak season time!

Leaving for Alpental shortly for a half day, will post pics later today

Congrats!

Just finished back to back weekends at Copper and Jackson Hole.

Copper was practically non stop snow. Best conditions I ever snowboarded easily.

Can see why ikon has limited days reserved for J Hole now. Got 10" throughout Sunday which really made Sunday-Tuesday awesome. If you haven't been to Jackson for the Kings and Queens of Corbet's - do it. Watching that was a killer time.

Killington next weekend, and Kitzbuhel in 3 weeks!

Some pics from Alpental from today. They got 19" two days ago so snow was super soft and fun.

Can see Summit at Snoqualmie in the distance at the bottom middle. This should be the East side

Some super steep runs on the front, ended up skiing most of this

Lots of chutes and cliffs

Would recommend this mountain to expert skiers/boarders, definitely not a beginner mountain
