This will be my first time skiing the week of President's Day. We are doing Sat-Sat. My kids will do ski school on Sunday(I may do a private lesson), so we we will get to the front of the lift lines on that day at least. Glad to know it should get better as the week goes.

My friend that is getting married wants to do a ski trip for his bachelor party. What would be a fun town to go to that offers skiing and a little bit of night life?

Breckenridge, Vail, Crested Butte, Whistler, Park City, Steamboat, and many more. Really depends on how big of a town y'all want and if your group is there more for skiing or the night life

Good ones-

Also, Jackson Hole and Aspen Snowmass(but you will pay for it).

Another good choice is Heavenly(or some of the other Lake Tahoe reorts). You get casinos here so there is that.

Keep in mind that some passes exclude Presidents Day (and other holidays) from some resorts so make sure you get one that includes it.

Yep, Epic Pass excludes the Sat/Sun before President's day, but not actual Presidents Day.

We are headed to Park City/Canyons that week.

Another thing besides blackouts are potential reservations at the popular Ikon resorts this year.

FYI for anyone thinking about Breck or Keystone, it’s going to be jammed for the weekend.

Going to Breck with the wife and kids Dec 16-21.
Staying at Peak 9, will be the kids' first time skiing.

Yeah, we didnt get the holiday add on so skipping the weekend.

Saturday I think we will knock out some grocery shopping, maybe do some tubing. Sunday, hit up the outlets and downtown area then probably all get a lesson or ski school on Monday.

We still have to figure out where we're going to stay. I've got two other families dragging their feet on making a decision but that sounds like a plan! That big fire pit almost burned my face off last year.

Where are you guys staying?

It was cheaper to get a 1 Day Holiday Access pass than to do the holiday add on for us.

The trips I want to do this year are Aspen, Taos, and Steamboat. I have a cat ski trip planned for Super Bowl weekend.

I’m curious how the price of travel is going to impact the ski season. This past Saturday I drove at peak times and didn’t hit the brakes. Normally nice Saturdays are going to have some significant traffic. $800 plane tickets, $5+ gas, etc is going to make people think about other options.

Never too early to start thinking about ski season. I bought a 6 day epic pass at the price deadline. Gonna do 2 separate trips, just not sure where yet.

Counting down the days to winter while it's almost 100 degrees....

Not sure when or where but I’m hoping Vail at the end of January if I can get some guys to go. If I end up going solo, I’ll do park city because lodging is much more affordable for a single person and easier to get to.

Going back to Banff in March for sure, one of my favorite ski trips ever was going there last year.

Outside of that will likely go to SLC and Big Sky again. Gas prices are going to make the drive to Big Sky painful though. Might make more sense just to fly into Denver and hit up Copper, A-Basin or Winter Park. Riding the train from Denver to Winter Park seems kind of interesting just to experience and take in the scenery one time.
