Buddy and I are headed to Copper this Friday for our season opener. Steamboat looks to be getting some nice snow too so we're probably going to head there Saturday for the first time.

Give an update on Copper afterwards if you don’t mind. We are headed there next weekend from BR.

Honestly, its not as bad as Id expect. I am in damn good shape though. Its the core/hips really getting me today.

And for the baws asking about Copper. Im there at least two days a week. Practically all of the frontside of the mountain should be open by next week.

Been a very productive pattern

Just a heads up in case it helps anyone else out but we found Frontier Flights (Hou-DEN) in Feb for like 100/pp round trip. Was able to get all 4 of us booked for 500$ total. I know frontier sucks but I’ve had okay luck with them. Never flown out of William p hobby though.

I booked a SW flight for 4 from Houston to Steamboat with a connection through Denver for $800. I thought it was a good deal considering the prices lately.

Im not sure this pattern is going to break for us.

How the hell do you get height rises with air being transported across the arctic and pushed in?

Im thinking the cold push into the eastern US took too long and between the radiational cooling at night and massive cold air advection coming, theres a good chance we keep getting these blasts of snow until Christmas, and maybe after.

And Monday, you might want to try to get out Monday.

Trying to figure out WP vs Copper for tomorrow. I ski WP all the time but have never skied Vasquez. I’m worried I missed the fresh snow window and Copper conditions look a little better.

Looking at booking Zephyr Mountain Lodge in Winter Park at end of January.
Has anyone stayed there?

Copper hasnt been busy since the storm Tuesday. Tomorrow is the last day that will be true. Every mountain should be golden Monday/Tuesday (well if you like freezing your balls off tuesday).

Not sure exactly how well WP is going to do with the storm tonight.

I can’t recall if I asked this and y’all answered. I have a trip to Vail late January for a week. I’m going solo, I’m meeting my nephew there actually, but I’m traveling solo and he’s meeting me there a couple days after. So I’ll be staying in Avon actually. What’s the best way to get from Denver airport to Avon? I don’t need a rental car as I’ll be using bus service while there.

I went to Copper and WP on the same weekend last December and it was a damn ice rink at both places. This year looks to be much better.

A buddy and I are flying out tonight from Houston. Copper tomorrow, Steamboat saturday and then back to Copper for sunday.

Don’t think that will work. They don’t run late enough or early enough for my flights.

We're big on trees. Got any tips for tree runs at Copper?

Epic Mountain Express can shuttle you from DEN to Avon, it won't be as cheap as a bus but it will get you there.

I’m taking the Epic Mountain Express to Beaver Creek in late January to meet family and have used it many years. It will take you exactly to where you are staying with 1 stop typically half way to your destination

Yeah I think this is the way I’m going. When do you arrive and leave? We might be on the same shuttle. Staying at the base of beaver creek but riding Vail. Might go to BC one day. Fly in 22nd and out on the 28th
