Was a great day at Aspen Highlands, love how the mountain is really geared for solid intermediates or better. It is right up there with A-Basin for my favorite mountain in CO.

Looks great.

Meanwhile Park City continues to get snow but only 20 runs are open there. And Snowbasin has gotten a lot of snow too and only 5 runs are open.

I am 5 days out to skiing at those places and am starting to get a bit worried.

if I’m only going on one ski trip a year though I can probably really stretch the lifespan I would imagine. At least I’d hope.

I’m going to keep looking for a good deal on a used pair on eBay and Facebook marketplace and hopefully get lucky. I REALLY like the mag technology because I don’t want to bring an extra pair of goggles and have snapped way too many of the “clip in” changeable lenses in the past.

I switched over to a cheap arse pair of cycling sunglasses this year too and so far so good…$30 shipped with 5 lenses and I’ve already got one whole season out of them. I was spending $100 on smiths, Rudy projects, Spy, Oakley, etc and getting two MAYBE three years out of them.

Thanks for the feedback

Those places have to be crazy with so little terrain open, maybe they are saving it until the big holiday push. It looks like they are going to get another 20 inches by Christmas day and that isn't counting what they got today.

I don’t know what the deal is with Park City. They’ve probably gotten more snow than any CO resort yet have less open than any CO resort.

Despite the new snow yesterday and overnight, still only 21 runs open at Park City and 5 at Snowbasin

This is getting ridiculous.

I'm guessing labor issues?

Are you here now? I was just coming to say the same thing. We're staying at MountainSide.

EDIT: 22 runs open now

Hard to understand at this point, we've opened a lot more terrain in CO on less snow.

My plan is Park City the 22nd and 25th and Snowbasin the 23rd and 24th

We're flying out the 19th, but it's been snowing all day here and they've already opened 3 runs since this morning. If it keeps falling there are many others that look like they could be close to opening

Has anyone been to Les Arcs in France? We're taking a family vacation there next month and 1) hoping COVID doesn't frick it up, and 2) wondering, for those who have been there, what they think of the skiing.

The skiable terrain there is roughly three times the size of Vail, so I'm really excited.

Anyone have any experience at Les Arcs?

Good to have eyes on the ground. And snow hanging on the mountain today. Good news.

Just finshed skiing for the day and it's still dumping snow, nice fliffy snow. Up to 25 runs open.

Things are getting really crowded on the mountain and it's gonna be chaos tomorrow.

Yeah Park City is getting an earful on twitter for not having more open. Recipe for disaster and injuries if they don't open more
