Nice! Hopefully you put on a fresh layer of Scotch Guard on those jeans.

Day 1 at Mt. Bachelor...
Was a bit cold to start but things softened up nicely in the afternoon. Skiing off the Northwest lift is pretty legit, the Summit had great views but was a bit icey. Really nice mountain and Bend is a nice city, seems like kind of an underrated spot for a trip.
Basically zero lift lines outside of the base area, I used the Icon tracker thing and it claims I racked up almost 36k of vert.

Headed down to bachelor next friday-sat! Will definitely follow your pictures and review, going down on my own so will be nice to know where to go on the mountain. Looks gorgeous, hoping it warms up for some spring skiing

A few more decent storms for CO in the coming days. Winter sure was late but she’s not giving up easily.

Bring it on! We'll be skiing Keystone Monday and Tuesday, and then Copper on Wednesday. If snow is good we might stay and do an extra day on Thursday.
I see Summit County in general is expected to get a few inches Sunday, Monday and Tuesday (maybe a foot total across the three days).

Word. I’m getting more concerned about flowing streams in July than corn in April.

Was another great day at Bachelor, their website claimed they had gotten 3 inches and as soon as I got into the parking lot the parking attendant said it was more like 6 inches. I knew it was going to be a good day at that point...
The Summit lift was on a hold, so I darted over to the Northwest lift and had a few runs to myself before the powder horde descended onto the area. The Northwest lift has almost 2400 feet of vertical and offers glades, bowls, fast steep groomers and some bumps...
Eventually the winds subsided a bit, the horde went over to the Summit and I was skiing right onto the Northwest lift.
Was able to make it up to the Summit for my last run, skied a run called hourglass into the cirque bowl. It was steep, my legs were shot but I made it down. Most of Bachelor's terrian isn't that steep by A-Basin or Big Sky standards but that area was pretty legit. Wish I had a chance to hit the backside.
The mountain is heavy on blue runs, lots of great long cruiser type of runs. Expert skiers might find it somewhat lacking if winds shutdown the Summit which is the only way to access the backside of the mountain.
Bachelor is an underrated spot, it is like A-Basin or Bridger Bowl in that there is no lodging on mountain but Bend offers a lot of good food and beer just a 25 minute drive away. Thought I would post a short review for anyone interested, onto Crystal next for a few days.

Appreciate the review Fargo. Batchelor has been on my radar for next season.
Bend seems like such an awesome town. I'm a big runner and actually considered going this summer and hitting some trail runs

Bachelor weather system yesterday was crazy. I have a patroller friend there who sent me photos of what happened. Unreal.
Killer place.

The trail runners from Bend are a big reason why there's a permit process out there now.

They got a bit of dumping, I was in Bend and there was no precip at all. I managed to sneak out today for a half day before my flight and lots of untracked powder still. Something you wouldn't see in Colorado, not sure I waited longer than a few minutes in a lift line. Also got to the back of the mountain, different world back there. It is like your own private mountain...

I could post pics all day, the views at Bachelor are off the charts.

Yes, one can easily get lost on the Cloudchaser side of Bachelor. I’ve had to walk (of shame) out a couple of times after getting to the boundary back there.

One of the locals told me to traverse around the Summit and ski down the towards the Northwest lift, so much untracked stuff back there...a massive empty bowl and then I went into the trees and I was like I hope this takes me where I need to go.

Heading home but Crystal delivered one more bluebird day of skiing before I head back to reality....

Vail lowering the price of their Epic Pass
Epic Pass Price Slashed by 20%
I wonder if Aspen will retroactively lower their IKON Pass.
