I loved Solitude last year. Ski'd leftover pow and no one was around. Long, sustained runs. Have fun!

Sounds like you can't go wrong either way

Man it's tough sitting in this office this morning instead of hitting the slopes. Another great trip in steamboat. Ankles are killing me from rentals, I think I will be purchasing a pair of boots before next years trip.

Never regretted it a day in my life. Granted, for my actual career, my summer job is about the best I could ask for. I'm set long term. Just waiting out the poor years by skiing pow.

Heading to Eagle county in early March. Everything is booked. Let's hope the snow holds out.

Now the real question.... to recreation or not to recreation.

shite hit the fan at work today (my boss got let go) and we have a major software release to do this week so I am fricked on my last minute time off request which rarely happens. I'm coming out there soon though dammit. I'll text you and be in touch. I gave my girlfriend your number. Her and her friend (OT 6 but hitable IMO) will be out and about there tonight

Damn. That's no good. Hasn't snowed too much today after the quick 3-4 inches from 6-8am. Made for some really fun groomers this morning out there.

Hopefully the snow comes hard tonight. Wind is supposed to switch to W-NW which is good for the boat.

Tell em to hit me up if they go out for drinks or anything.

I flew back to New Orleans last night but Brighton showing 30" this morning. Man, what a few days that area is having. It was my first powder experience. I'm still a beginner snowboarder and had only 6 ever days boarding before these 4, but it was a great trip. Powder was awesome in some spots but also swallowed me up in spots where I didn't maintain speed. Either way, a fair amount of soft falls as I tried to progress.

Especially as a snowboarder, powder can be a struggle for a beginner. But it sounds like you found the way to enjoy. You're gonna get stuck, you're gonna fall and wallow around for awhile, maybe cuss a bit.

But powder is what it's all about. It's a true addiction IMO. Skiing powder gives me a feeling like I have nowhere else.

With that said, I'm gonna go ski some powder today.

My twin brother just drove from Bozeman to Park City for some powder shreddage. The reports from Utah are nuts this morning. Park City, Brighton, Alta, Snowbird, and Snowbasin all reported 20"+.

I was pretty down yesterday and in one of those "frick it all I am quitting my job and moving to the mountains" moods but the snow stake today made me feel a little better about it all. My girlfriend got sucked into another night shift at the hospital in Leadville but should be getting there in a couple hours. I gave Zachery (tall guy we rode RMNP with last year) your number so hopefully he hit you up. Y'all can both shred pretty hard and could go out there and have a blast together. I'd be struggling to keep up

Nice. Just got to Gondi line. Should be good but not life changing. We got another burst of snow from 5am to like 7am. Which is awesome because the snow report is misleading and it means they had groomed most everything before most of the snow came.

Groomers with 5" fresh on top

Snows seems pretty blower too. Champagne baby.

So if I keep going twice a year, then I should buy my own board and boots, especially if I can save money on a board bag like this dude yesterday at the airport:

Did you get to ride it? I got to go up today at heavenly...very crowded in spots, and nice in others. Supposedly they have been barely open and digging out for the last 2 days, so everyone wanted in on the action
