Fighting off a sickness, so skipped out on today at the Boat. Gonna try and get up for some early laps tomorrow. Hitting the half century mark on resort days tomorrow hopefully.
Enjoy Mammoth! Legendary January they are having.

You guys skiing/boarding during this upcoming storm make sure to post some pics of the pow this weekend for us stuck in this spring like winter we are having in the south. It's been over a year since I've had a true powder day and I'm praying my trip to Crested Butte the middle of next month these storms continue.

I'll do my best.
It was nice to get some blue skies this past week, but ready for a refill up in northern CO. Southern CO is getting the love lately.
I was hoping to get two days in a row off this week so I could make a trip somewhere, but my schedule is poop so no go on that.
Still so many places I need to really explore at Steamboat. Ski'd the trees above the cat track (BC ski way), and it has huge patches of beetle kill that is now cleared out. Big rock formations. Some really cool shite.

Today we hit up Snowbird. Stormy, windy, cold, powdery. Fun day.
Brighton tomorrow. Solitude sunday and who knows on Monday.

Just finished up at Brighton. Tons of powder today. There was a wreck in the canyon this morning and we couldn't get up there but got to enjoy from 2p-830p.

Saw some pictures of Canyon traffic. Looked bad, but the powder looked awesome.
Woke up to 8" of fresh at the Boat overnight. Been fighting sickness, but I'll be in the gondola line here soon waiting to get some freshies.

Man oh man is Crested Butte a bad arse mountain, and I've never seen a town so covered in snow before. Lots of T bars to the best terrain and overall an expert type mountain. More rocks than anywhere I've seen too. We were there for rope drop at Spellbound and Phoenix bowl and had an epic first lap. I'll get a video up soon of my buddy doing a 360 off about a 15 foot cliff drop. We also hit the steepest run in North America, Rambo. Crazy shite and a day that really kicked my arse. Riding with ski patrollers yesterday was humbling

Sounds epic. I bet rope drop was unreal. I'm excited to go get some powder this morning.

Not much in town but the webcam was crushing snow last night. Should be epic. Hoping gondola line isn't too bad.
Had to drop my roommate off across town at his car this morning.

Man, it's been at least 6-7 years since I've been on a T bar and that was an epic fail, haha. Hopefully I don't make a fool of myself next month.
Bamafan-just pulled up the gondola cam and its a zoo, hopefully you got there before it got too bad

Had a really solid morning. It was really deep in spots. Back on morningside was definitely a foot deep. Got first chair up storm peak and hopped over to Closets and Shadows for first tracks down the trees. It was super nice.
Took out some fatty stiff dynastar skis that like to go fast, so it was a fun ride.

Brighton was awesome again today but got so cold in the afternoon with the snow storm.he
Learned our lesson yesterday...we were at the park and ride by 730a this morning and made it to Brighton early before the crowd in the canyon. We were on the 4th chair up.
