I just started working from home last year, and have over time added little by little. I bought a sitting/standing L shaped desk that I adjust throughout the day. I work off a Mac mini thats hooked up to my triple monitors. I have a Digital Storm Lumos Gaming PC stored under my desk that I sometimes will hook a monitor up to during the weekends. I also have a 70 inch flat screen on the wall that I have my PS5 hooked up to, but mostly it just shows my cameras around the outside of the house. My wife bought me a Vonesse chair this past Christmas that I use in my office as well. So far so good on my end.

I hear constantly about the Herman Miller chairs but I don't see that in my budget.
Look for used office furniture stores. You tell em what you want, and they let you go pick it out and take it home. I got a Steelcase Gesture for about $170, and it retails for $1500-ish.
Hermann Miller is nice, but it's more of a status symbol, IMO. If you want to only buy new, a gaming chair like a Titan XL. About $500.

You may not need this depending on what type of work you are doing, but we started doing a lot of court appearances via zoom and other conference call stuff so a decent camera and microphone/headset setup really helps.

Padded felt desk mat.
Consider portrait mode on a monitor if you view a lot of docs.
Good headphones with stand.
Blue blocker glasses.

I am actually trying to do this job
Ha I'm not advocating getting a wiggler and not working or not putting in 8 a day. But trust me, once you get settled in to the WFH life you'll realize it's value

A good mechanical keyboard will change your life

A very short blonde with big boobs, no teeth, a flat head (to set your beer on), and low morals.

Last time I looked you can get them on eBay for about $400

A nice desk with storage
A view outside
A very nice office chair
A dedicated space / office
I enjoy the hell out of my mechanical keyboard

Potentially moving to a more work from home set up. Have dual monitors and a surface pro already, but that's about it. Any other must-haves that the TB can recommend?
An AC. My fricking AC went out for my office/trophy room a few weeks ago and my wife had me convinced it was so hot because it was hot outside

Lots of equipment cited here but the key is being able to focus.
Lots of distractions at home vs work. Especially if family is around all day. We also got a new puppy on my wife’s insistence early in Covid and she’s on zooms in a more isolated room most of the day…. Guess who took care of the puppy.
