Why would this be needed by a man?

a mug that keeps your coffee warm...aka 5-6 total hours of use time

The problem is a mug by design lets all of that heat out from the top. Your wife should have just bought you a Yeti.

On average, with the lid on, the YETI allowed coffee to stay warm for 5 to 6 hours at room temperature.

so you've NEVER sat down with a fresh hot mug of coffee right before starting a webex and had it get cold?

you've never gotten so caught up in coding or building a pivot table or complicated formula in excel that 30 minutes goes by in the blink of an eye?

i guess my job is very different than yours.

on average an old school thermos that i used to carry to work would keep my coffee piping hot for 12+ hours.

It's not your job. To use language we both will understand, you are a weirdo. You know those exist, right? No one really knows it-it's not a self awareness deal(I mean...look at your downvotes). But man, you are like 9.0/10 weirdo. NTTIAWWT.

This has happened to me. I just poured it out and made myself another cup of coffee.

$8 and comes with a lid. I don't need it to stay hot for hours, but with the lid on, it will. Unless I'm driving, I never use the lid. The wife likes it super hot, so as soon as she pours coffee in it, the lid goes straight on. She then complains that it is too hot to drink. I mean, give it 5 minutes without the lid on, then take a few sips and put the lid on it.

First world problems. Hot coffee gets cold before you drink it. Cold beer gets warm before you drink it.

VERDICT IS IN! This is a complete PoS.

It went 'green' overnight (should mean full charge) but then refused to heat my coffee at all yesterday, unpaired at some point with my phone and when i couldn't repair it i "rebooted the mug" and it showed the battery at 0%. i'm DONE.

Here's what I would expect (and I dont think this is unreasonable):
- Price point $50 (not $130+tax)
- Battery life 2-3 days (@ 2 hours of 134 degree heat per day; aka 5-6 total hours of use time)
- Charging in 1 hour (not 3)
- 2 cent WiFi chip and not this ghetto bluetooth shite so the mug 'forgets what the hell its doing' if i walk away from my phone with my cup of coffee and then it struggles to reconnect.

Even if all those points were met; $50 is still pretty steep for a mug that keeps your coffee warm considering i have a 50 year old thermos from my pappy that does a better job and you can buy $10 amazon mr. coffee mug warmers.

TL;DR this is stupid as frick and expensive as hell.

I thought it only worked when the air temp was between 70 and 85 degrees??

I have a “gift” from work. No-name Yeti type mug with a lid and a handle. Keeps coffee hot for a couple of hours. Keeps it warm all morning. I do have a Yeti mug with a handle, but it is thicker and heavier and I don’t like it as well.

I would bet they paid less than $10 for it.
