We ended up saving about $25/mo, but eventually switched back to cable when we moved houses because it was too much trouble. Just know that your service will only be as good as your internet connection.
I got tired of watching pixelated sports events because my internet couldn't keep up.

Directv now 40 per month
Internet 40 per month
Iptv 10 per month for ppv events
Antenna with tivo roamio
More TV than we can watch for way less than cable or satellite

Yep. I use plenty of things still though.
Have Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime
Also have Sling with some kids channels, sports package, history channel and some others on it.
That gets me by very well .and so much more than cable at half the cost. Freaking ridiculous to have cable at this point. So many better options.

Yeah, you need to get the highest internet speed and hard-wire your ethernet to the TV. Don't use WIFI.
I use HULU, Netflix, and Amazon Prime and never run out of things to watch. Get all the sports I want through HULU.

I'm about to cut the cord too. Thinking of going with the firestick and the IPTV like in the link below. I've had directv for a number of years, but paying over $200 a month for internet and cable is just unnecessary. I always kept directv for the NFL Sunday Ticket but I've just steamed games the last two years.

there is nothing to even debate anymore. Get rid of your cable or directv and get YouTube TV and Netflix. All you'll ever need. $40 a month

Where do you get your NFL, College Football Golf Majors with Firestick ?

Still running Cox because it’s the only option where I’m at. But I cut down from 100mbps to 30 and there’s no difference. That saved $20 a month.
Also running Hulu Live. $50 a month versus the $80 price tag with Cox and the box rentals.
It has everything I need.
The TV companies know their time is ending. Cox is now pushing data limits on internet and HomeLife.

I cut back in May and I will most likely never sign up for cable again. I'm paying $30 less than I did with Cox's promotional price (which was going to expire) and Cox said they could not extend the promotional price so I cancelled cable and went with Direct TV Now.
What do ya know, Cox is now offering me these awesome deals they couldn't give me when I was a paying customer. I don't like being tied to a contract agreement, DTV Now is $40 /month no questions and you can cancel whenever you want.

It’s $40 per month. It’s great for sports but if you are already paying $60 per month on internet, you’re not exactly saving money.

If it wasn't for the astros only being offered via dish and not even offered on direct tvs stream, I would be.

Yeah screw the promotional deals. They just jack your rate up after a year or two. The lack of contracts or promo rates is why I went with streaming.

Getting ready to do the same. We pay $175 for Direct and we don't watch but maybe 10 of the 500 channels that we have. And, the only way to get certain channels, sports, is by paying for all those bullshite channels.

Honestly I’m not saving money but I love not dealing with TV providers
This is what keeps me with uverse. Just dont know if it'll save me much worth the trouble. I usually just deal with them when I call to lower the rate once a year. But I am finding tv channels to be more and more useless. But Im use to the guide set up, so changing that gets me to put it off if the other options are frustrating or slower to connect.

Area 51 TV is awesome. Less than 10 bucks a month and you get ever channel you can think of
