ETA: You can tell them that you are switching because of lack of streaming with ESPN and the like and they will give you a discount.

Definitely don't do that since they have it now.

Well I guess I should say it's on the way, announced the deal with ESPN a few weeks ago.

On my kids Xbox one the direct tv hdmi is plugged into the Xbox.
The xbox then controls everything.
even the TV

Yeah, my XBOX One turns on/off my TV and sound system when I turn on/off the XBOX. It actually works very well and you can use the Xbox guide or the provider guide/remote. If you have a Xbox One and aren't using this you are doing it all wrong.

I don't like the record is just under the guide. I always accidently hit the record button.

How old is your equipment? I've got all the genie stuff and it works pretty well, including wireless receiver on back patio.

Ummmm, Logitech universal remote. One remote turns on everything and dims my lights with one button. It's touchscreen has a slide to open function like an iPhone so no accidental hitting of buttons.

Sorry if this has been mentioned already. I didn't read 3 pages of this shite.

You watch TV in bed?

Exclusively, actually. Only watch at night an hour or so before going to sleep.

You need it. It's awesome. Walk in the room and say "Xbox on" and it all comes on.
