I know it’s probably been a topic on here numberous times. Always had iPhones.

Give me some reasons not get another one. I’ve been eyeing the pixel 2 XL and the galaxy S9+

Update: Came home with the pixel XL. Only had it for 3 days. So far I can tell you these thungs:

1) MUCH better screen than my 7+
2) Way faster
3) seems very easy to learn

I mostly work from this phone and syncing the contacts was a little rough from Outlook (had to do them one by one). But other than that I have no complaints so far.

Because you don't seem to want another one, get something else.

Seriously take a look at the one plus 6. Goes head to head with the big boys.

I switch back and forth every few years. You'll find some stuff that Apple does better and stuff that Android does better.

While I'm on Apple right now, if I were to try and convince you...

Apple maps is dogshit and so is Siri. Google Now/Assistant is way, way ahead and well integrated into Android. Type in the first three letters of a business in your area on Android and guess what, the business in your area pops up.

Do that in Siri/Apple search and some business 5 states away pops up.

The sole reason I went back to iPhone from Android was that my wife has an iPhone and iPad, and she complained that Hangouts was too hard to FaceTime me. She said it felt like I broke up with her. So I just got an iPhone again and she's happy.

Do it. I made the switch after having an iphone since the 3G. No regrets.

I'm almost the opposite. I went Android four years ago. Got the iphone X in November, and I am pretty happy with it. Can't say I won't ever switch back, but I don't think I will anytime soon.

So then just use the Duo app (Google's native video calling app.)

I'm about 9 months into my Pixel 2 and it is by far the best phone I've ever had. Either get one, or wait for the 3. The point is - Google got this shite right finally.

I personally think just having the app drawer is enough to choose Android. Also, no buttons.

Made the switch to the first pixel after being team i-phone for a long time.

Really glad I made the switch. My pixel 1 is still running strong. Got it in October of 2016.

The only feature iOS has that Android still really doesn't is AirDrop. Google Photos is getting close, but it's still internet-based. It's frustrating to think a patent is preventing Android from having similar functionality via phone-to-phone bluetooth/wi-fi.

Sounds like you have bigger problems than just video chat issues.

If you have a Mac and an Android you can use iMessage on Android. Which is the main reason why people keep iPhone ok me anyways.

The app is called wemessage. It requires some configuration. But once you get it going its great.

Nah, in the grand scheme of things, if me having an iPhone makes her feel more comfortable about being able to get in touch with me when she needs to, then it's really not a big deal. My parents have iPhones, my brother has an iPhone, in-laws have an iPhone, we have 2 iPads at the house. FaceTime is super easy so everyone can video chat with my kids when they want to as opposed to needing a different app. I can do the same things with my iPhone as I did with my Galaxy or Moto X. No sweat off my brow switching.

Will give that app a try. Rest of the family have iPhones.

Do you have any recs for form editing apps?

Did you get the pixel 2 XL or just Pixel XL?

Also editing app form do you mean shape? If so search for icon packs or launchers.
