Sound bar that can emphasize midrange/voices

My gamgam struggles to hear vocals when watching her stories. I understand that Netflix, Hulu, etc. have audio designed for systems with a center channel, so when I have the same problem I just change the audio to "stereo" and am good to go. She sometimes struggles with that kind of tech stuff, so I'd like to remove that selection process from the equation.
Between me and my family, we've gotten her 3 or 4 soundbars that can supposedly emphasize vocals. They've had varied performances, but none of them have lasted more than a year before failing.
Does anyone have recommendations? I see that "5.1" soundbars are available (so with a "center channel"), but we'd still like a soundbar that essentially has an equalizer in it that can boost the vocals. Budget is in the $250-400 range.
Thanks fellas.

this..
even the new settings in netflix, prime, etc that are supposed to enhance voice arent on every program
IMHO, you just need a loud one

I have a Bose Solo 10 which is kind of a VCR sized/shaped soundbar from a few years before soundbars really became a thing. It made a big difference for my wife and I being able to hear what people were saying.
Bose has soundbars under the Solo model name these days. LINK I have no idea how they compare to the old Solo 10 that I have, but mine is probably close to 10 years old and still works as well as the day I got it.

Generally, you pause the program, hit down (to go to options), find the sound option, and select stereo in lieu of "Dolby Digital" or some shite like that. Netflix and Amazon should have it. Hulu and HBO Max I don't believe have the option. I find that it helps out a lot.
Thanks for the heads up ATL. I've generally avoided Bose because I think you're paying extra for the name, but the cost is good and it looks like it emphasizes vocals.

Try Sonos beam. In addition to the dialogue enhancement setting, it also has a "nighttime" setting which decreases louder tones (thus elevating the vocals even more).

I was going to suggest just the Sonos Ray. Should be a set it up and forget it/last forever type of a situation.

Man I’ve tried 2 soundbars and they just don’t do it for me
Maybe I had the wrong ones but nothing close to real 7.1

Came here to also say Sonos.
Has a “vocal boost” function, and a “nighttime” function that makes the soft noises a little louder and the loud noises a little softer.

I'm under 50, and I've had to set everything to subtitles by default. Use it as a backstop to a soundbar; depending on the program, perfectly clear audio isn't necessarily a solution.
