I have youtube on all my devices and it works
you download it from the app store and then when you open it the first time it tells you to download firefox or some other browser.

You must have side loaded it or something. The native YouTube app was yanked.
Also, YouTube TV was never created for the amazon devices, so that blows.

nope its not side loaded
The app doesn't have the youtube logo
Its a blue background with white letters that say youtube.com

Compared to the gen 2 its not an upgrade
I only got it b/c it came with a DTVNow one month subscription.

Gen2 also has better HW internals than this one fwiw.

Thanks for the heads up. I needed another fire stick. Been using mine for a few months now with zero issues streaming ESPN and amazon prime.

The Gen 2 fire tv isn't for sale on amazon anymore
you will probably have to dig around.
They are supposed to actually come a real Gen 3 replacement box.

yeah, see that now. I bought the stick. I've wasted 30 bucks on worse things before

Get this over fire stick. I have fstick in bedroom and it lags on loading up and opening apps. I bought this and it runs fast. I agree gen 2 is better in multiple ways, but for the current options, this one is worth paying more than the stick.

Has anyone ever had issues with the fire stick when streaming live sports during big events? I was thinking of usIng the stick to stream Vue or Watch ESPN with it being hardwired. Thanks.
