Just received an email, now $50 bucks a month.

By no means a huge spike but I think rate increases will be common the next few years.

BS, still no Viacom channels like Nickelodeon or mtv. The reason we choose streaming is to go against the yearly gouging contracts of cable companies. Obviously 5$ is better than the 60$ a month increase cox used to do.

cancelling as we speak. cable is cheaper now lmao, and it has local channels and no HD buffer issues. glad to go back to a real remote instead of the shitass firestick remote as well

I don't know about cheaper, but not twice as expensive, either, which is pretty much my threshold for considering streaming. I've recently auditioned Youtube TV, DirecTV Now, and Hulu Live, and I found all badly lacking in features I need and use every day in Windows Media Center. Youtube TV was the best of the bunch for me, and I thought it might be viable until I found most of my recordings had unskippable ads. Turns out networks are free to substitute "On Demand" version of shows for freshly made (fake) "recordings," replacing them with the actual recordings after several days, the latter having the broadcast commercials that are skippable. Weirdest fricking thing I've ever heard of and a total dealbreaker.

We have YouTube TV and have been pleased with it. We get all of the local channels in BR and are grandfathered in at $35. No telling for how long though. Our Cox cable was around $100 when we had it. The big draw for me is no contract.

Yeah, the value proposition is eroding which isn't good considering the interface is still not where it needs to be.

Did this last year and I am completely satisfied. I pay just a little more and I get everything I want with one device, one service, and it works like it's supposed to.

Cord cutting was interesting but never convenient. Took the fun out of watching tv.

I give the streaming services another year or so before they're about the same price as regular cable. I do like the convenience of being able to cancel and re-sign up anytime without having to have someone come to the house and set up boxes or anything.

Cox Bronze package (100mbps/140 channels) is $89.99 a month.

I currently pay 79.99 for 50mbps internet and $39.99 (soon $44.99) for Vue ($120/mo total)

The Cox price jumps to 109.99 after the first year, so it's still cheaper than cox + vue lololol.

after year 2, it jumps to something stupid and gets cancelled, then we play that song and dance again where we join back up for a new promo price

I've been using PS Vue for probably close to two years but this is going to force me to look into DirecTV Now, et al. I'm over $100/month for LUS Fiber + Vue with the latest price increase which, like Carson was saying, is so close to what it costs for regular cable that I have to consider tying that cord back together.

Has anyone checked them all out? Where do other providers excel over Vue?

One big thing that makes me want to keep Vue is that they have NFL Redzone during football season, and I don' t think the others do. Hopefully DirecTV Now will add their Redzone channel, but who knows.

I feel like I’m pretty well locked into DirecTV Now for $10 a month. $40 internet and $10 TV.

Is that because you have ATT cellular and do that bundle they have? Just curious but do you know how much you pay per line with ATT cellular?

I'm paying $179/month for 300mbps and the Cox ultimate package. I was paying $80 for 300mbps and $68 for Vue + HBO/Cinemax/Showtime. When Vue increased the price last year I quit. Much happier now.

Streaming service is best for when you cancel cable for like two months to be eligible for new customer pricing + the gift card to buyout your other contract
