So I wasn't happy with ATT now and how they keep increasing the price, so I just allowed it to expire. I have Netflix and Disney plus for the kids. Watched football games I wanted to see at a bar. I plan on buying MLB TV. I have found a few outdoor related YouTube channels that I like. I may not go back. After the initial addiction feel wore off, I have a hard time justifying $800/year to watch HGTV. I'll keep this updated on my progress.

Netflix, prime, free HBO from att, and digital antenna. Not much I can't watch. Hulu is really nice also, but I can't watch everything on what I have already. Cable television may never phase out, but I have 0 need for it.

Another side effect is being more productive. I have finished a few lingering projects.

I did this after canceling DirecTV. I just use a log in for ESPN for football games.

I don’t miss it at all.

This is how I was when I cut the cord, but 1 1/2 years later I plugged back in

Actually going back and forth with the wife to see if we want to downsize, or go back to cutting the cord. Fewer and fewer shows we really watch; and can't justify paying an extra $10/month here & there for the off chance there is a movie we like

I keep sling from sept thru January. Then roll with an antenna, Netflix , Disney+, and amazon.

But I have small kids so I don’t watch much tv anymore.

I've been seriously considering doing the same thing, but getting some pushback from the wife and kids. I'd like to drop everything except the Disney+ package with Hulu and maybe Netflix.

If Disney ever adds regular ESPN Programming to ESPN+ then there would be a bigger shift to cord cutting.

If they did, I would probably do it again. College baseball and LSU games on SEC Network are keeping me with cable. The wife wants the movie channels (w/ Hallmark/Lifetime at the end of the year).

Now that the Saints are done I'll be canceling Youtube TV. I have Frndly(for hallmark), Netflix and Amazon. I'll probably add the Disney+, Hulu and ESPN combo and be done till next football season.

Wait, they don't? I was considering the Disney+/Hulu/ESPN+ bundle, but apparently, I need to consider considering it some more.

Who do you have for internet service?

The problem I had with my old house was that when I was a cord cutter, they kept going up on the internet price. I only had one choice for a provider which was AT&T. It became cost effective to just get DirecTV bundled with internet. I'm in a new house and kept the same service, so we will see once I'm here one year what they will do with pricing. I also have another provider here, so maybe that will help me keep costs down.

I'm fortunate to have a cable login for regular ESPN streaming and HBO Go, along with an Amazon Prime one.

Brought it up again last night, and wife was more receptive. I think we're going to drop everything except Disney+/Hulu package. I probably have a friend or family member that'd let me use their Netflix login.

Nope, it's mainly small audience and international sports. Soccer, Rugby, Cricket, Boxing.

I've got Hulu +Live, Netflix, Prime and Disney+ (free for the first year). I go on weekend binge-athons when the wife is out of town.

I'm one year and 6 days into it. Only regret not doing it years sooner. And at least 99% of TD has better internet than I get.

I have ATT fiber ATM. Swapped from Spectrum. I do live in an area where we have high speed internet and lots of competition.

One benefit I noticed after cutting the cord is that I’m much happier without the constant bombardment of tv commercials. I never realized how influential they were in my thinking on a day to day basis.

When I visit friends and family and tv ads cone on, I find them practically intolerable these days.
