When does lollipop come to the nexus 7 2012 ? Do I have to install it manually?

Is the manual like rooting and flashing or something different? I don't really feel like doing that with the nexus 10 but I'm tired of waiting for that update

do it. wugfresh NRT (nexus root toolkit) does it all for you. SO SO easy.
no command line for you! Just install the toolkit and follow along. I've used it for multiple nexus devices and it doesnt' get any easier.

try it! you'll fall in love with it. yes, he keeps the binary up to date with latest superuserSU and recoveries.
you can be the biggest idiot and it will still work. he automatically grabs the lollipop for you and does several other clean up type things to make sure you don't have any problems.
try it! just install it and play around with it for a bit. i've gotten hopelessly addicted to it.

So it already has 5.0 on there? I see some boot loop problems in the comments. Whats up with that

My Nexus 4 bootlooped, but it was easily fixed just by going back into recovery and factory resetting. Not sure if that is the case for everyone.

thats so friday
all worked out. just do a pure 'system restore' and you'll get the google lollipop. then hit the re-root button and get the latest superSU and recovery.
also, take his suggestion to do a 'factory reset' after the first reboot of the phone just to erase anything odd with the memory.
it took me a total of 15 minutes today and i'm back up to where i was before will my apps...i think i had to relogin to about 10 apps though.
its siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick. so freakig nice. i held off on any android 5 stuff to get the full impact once google released it.
so.freaking.sweet.

I call be. 1 hour in still nothing. Just got unlocked. Freaking computer couldn't find the adb and fast boot.

Just finished installing the Android SDK on my new PC in preparation for my Nexus 6.
Remember, if you're going to root or do anything, unlock your bootloader before you do anything else with the phone as it will completely wipe your phone, internal storage included, and there is no downside.

I didn't root my N4 after upgrading to 5.0. I miss AdAway so bad. I didn't realize how much work it was doing.

Ok, so go download the latest SuperSu and Flash it in recovery. Done.
Install your app.

What does unlocking the bootloader/rooting enable? iPhone sheep here... I jailbreak all of my iPhones, but it's generally to do things that Android can already do without being rooted... I think.
Motherfrickers better ship soon.

You can put in different OSs, ROMs, kernals.. etc. It takes a highly customizable phone and turns it into a fully customizable phone, basically.
Best thing: you can remove bloatware.
