My grandson, 11, is like most 11-year-olds, knee-deep in console gaming. Spoiled rotten but I still kinda like him.

He wants a fast gaming monitor and gaming key board, mouse. No need for a PC — yet. He wants to plug his PS5 into it.

I am sorta tech savvy but not in the gaming realm. So what’s a really good gaming monitor in 34-inch curved or equivalent. Sub $500.

What specs are most important? Brands to avoid?

Recommendations?

So much thanks in advance.

Want to do him a solid? Buy him a bike instead.

Lol. I know where you’re coming from.

But he plays tackle football, basketball and pitches in travel ball. So he is active … and athletic.

Still, he likes his gaming as do many on this site.

PS5s can't utilize 34" ultrawide monitors. Has to be a 27" or 32".

Something like this is really good value. Oled displays are amazing with perfect contrast. Games really pop on these displays.

Thanks. This fits the bill. But any chance there is a 32-inch version or similar?

And there’s a ton of gaming keyboards and mice but where would you lean here? This is where I’m really lost.

My kid likes the Glorious line of keyboards and mice, because I use them on my daily driver PC. All the fancy LED stuff that kids tend to like. I like the white versions better than black.

I personally use a Logitech g502 light. But mice can be very personal preference. Whatever keyboard you get, just make sure it's mechanical.

There are 32" monitors, but they are all 4k resolutions, which PS5s really can't handle ... They're also notably more expensive ($600+)

Can spend around $200 for keyboard mouse. If that much is needed.

The monitor is going to display what the console gives it
