Yeah, I said package. Why have 1 gb of net when you aren't streaming? Seems counter productive.

I'm holding with dtn until I can preview YouTube and Hulu. Vue is out because I have small children so we watch Nick more than anything. But dtn is awful, constantly kicking us out, guide not working half the time, and still no Roku app. We have 3 tvs, one with Amazon fire and 2 Rokus. I sold the free Apple TV on eBay which more than paid for my 3 months of dtn so at least I'm not out of pocket anything, but I assumed they would have the Roku app by now.

What resolution is DTVN broadcasting in now?

Its back to 60 fps like original lunch. For several weeks it was at 30. Not real noticeable until you watched a news ticker or sports.

I'm not a big live tv person, so none of that bothers me. The live tv I watch is usually local and even that's minimal

Same here. I have a Tablo for live and its been damn near flawless.

Error messages, no DVR, no 72 hour rewind, cut resolution to 480p and 30fps for a long while, chunks of the guide missing randomly, switching channels only to switch you to either A&E or that weather station(real head scratcher)

The guide issue is a pain when its down but just go to the channel next to the one you want to watch and swipe. The only error message I get is when I first log in. That is a non issue because Im going to the guide first anyway.
I guess Im in the minority here but Ive had very few issues with streaming content on a daily basis. The lack of on demand and rewind does not bother me one bit. I have Kodi for that.

last night was the first time I had issues with the guide and it apparently wasn't just the guide. Channels that were actually blank on the guide were getting skipped over when I tried to simply channel surf. It was weird.

They where adding the rewind feature yesterday apparently. Why they have to completely FUBAR the guide on a weekend is idiotic.

the sensitivity of the Apple TV remote

This is a bit aggravating I find. Even with adjusting the settings. I use a harmony remote and it works great. So much easier to navigate.

Sounds like you have a hardware problem. My Apple TV is flawless while running DTvN

I'm there with you...very few problems with the service. I have an antenna for the few times I want to watch live broadcasts. For the savings I'm getting with DTVN vs Cox cable, I can live without the DVR (I got in on the introductory $35/mo rate).

Same here. Only issue is the guide thing but it's always quickly resolved. For $35/month I can tolerate some flaws if they're actively trying to improve.

Amen. Any new feature they add at this point DVR, rewind etc. are bonuses. Haven't missed a thing since I cut the cord.

I guess my concern is that dtn isn't active trying to improve. I haven't noticed any improvement in my service since I got it the first week of January. And as stated before, still no Roku app? And I don't really even care about DVR since I can watch anything old on Kodi.

As far as a hardware issue, I'm using a brand new fire TV box that streams PS vue, Netflix, and Kodi perfectly. Don't know enough about the technology to make a conclusion on that, but in my uneducated opinion if every other app works fine, it's a software issue and not hardware.

I completely agree that the price is awesome. I would not switch back to cable or PS vue (unless they get Viacom back). I am waiting to get a trial to YouTube and Hulu before I even consider canceling dtn.

I am trying to hang out another month or so to see if they start adding the missing features as I don't want to lose the grandfathered pricing.

Same. But still no DVR is completely indefensible. It's 2017 guys. What's going on..

I don't give a damn about DVR it's 2017. We have Netflix and Hulu. DTVnow has been solid. $35/ month is fair for how little I watch TV.

When you sign 24 months, read the fine print. Your internet may be locked but direct TV jumps after 1 year. Bump this thread in 2018.

I saw that you could add all 4 extra packs for $10 but no drop otherwise.
