I jumped on the PlayStation Vue train last March, when they cut about 10 channels without notice coupled with the 3 month prepaid deal DTVN was offering, I switched over this past November...March 7th marks the end of the prepaid 3 months and I have decided to jump back to Directv.

Error messages, no DVR, no 72 hour rewind, cut resolution to 480p and 30fps for a long while, chunks of the guide missing randomly, switching channels only to switch you to either A&E or that weather station(real head scratcher) and the sensitivity of the Apple TV remote...it all gives me heartburn and I'm throwing in the towel.

ATT recently ran fiber in my hood, so for $145 a month I'm getting 1gb internet, and directv's 2nd highest package. This includes their Genie and 3 minis...price locked in for 24 months. Of course I get the 1 year of Sunday Ticket and they threw in $200 worth of Visa gift cards. This is only $45 more than what I would be paying for 150 Mbps cox internet with DTVN.

Whatever price you're paying will double within 12 months.

Yeah if you can get the new service promo for whatever provider is available, it's worth it in my opinion

We have cox internet and then signed up for Vue @ $35.. then they ditch half the channels my wife watches so we tried DTVNow and it's given us nothing but problems

Tempted to just open a new cox account in my wife's name so she can get new customer pricing

I guess that we've been really lucky with DTVN... Haven't had any problems.

Is the monthly price higher than their normal 1 year good pricing 2nd year higher contract? I have seen them charge higher but if you multiple 24 months with your monthly is the same as the one year deal with the second year higher.

I left out lack of on demand content and the availability of 3rd party apps with DTVN credentials

I'm not a big live tv person, so none of that bothers me. The live tv I watch is usually local and even that's minimal

I almost went and canceled and went to UVerse but I'm holding out a tad longer. I don't want to run back to a 2 year contract.

YouTube unplugged and Hulu are right around the corner

Same here leaving DTVN to go back to Vue.

Lack of DVR is a deal breaker.

Honestly the best thing about Vue/DTV now is that when the cable/satellite company calls your bluff on cancelling you have something to watch right away.

We did Vue for 3 months then got the new customer pricing again from dish

What benefits does DTN have over VUE?

More channels for the money, if you got in on the early subscriber deal. I don't think Vue has History Channel, among others. I had more locals on Vue, but I have an antenna, so it's not really an issue.

I don't watch enough TV to spend $150 a month on the package. In two years, you will be paying $225.

got on DTVnow last night and could only catch 15 channels out of 30. crap!

Downloaded PSVue and it is way better. Wife mentioned that sling just dropped their prices as well. May have to check it out

It's been almost 3 months since I used Vue, but the picture quality on DTVNow has been better than Vue, when it works. Lack of: DVR, On demand content, App Logins, and stability have been major frustrations though.

The Viacom channels don't really factor into my decision as I only have one guilty pleasure on any of those channels I watch anyway.

I am trying to hang out another month or so to see if they start adding the missing features as I don't want to lose the grandfathered pricing.
