I’ve got last years B9 OLED. It’s a major go.

I also have last years Samsung Q80. Both are solid TVs with pros and cons.

Haven't looked into the CX's but I have a C7 and it's great. I would be shocked if the CX was a step back.

ETA: Not the brightest TV though so if it's in a room with a bunch of windows I may look for an LED screen instead. One window is fine and it handles glare very well, but a room flooded with sunlight will be rough.

I have this exact model. No regrets. Amazing picture. Came from a non HDR 4k circa 2015 set.

Watched a ton of 4K UHD movies. Incredible.

If you can still find the C9's for much cheaper it is equal to if not better than the new ones. The CX is almost identical and they score the exact same 8.8 on Rtings. Don't go overpay for one over a C9 whatever you do. I said this in another thread recently, TV's often times do not get better year over year once they are matured. Same thing with Samsung, the 2019's shite on the 2020's. OLED is a tapped out technology, so the 2019 and 2020's are basically identical. Save the money.

If you watch or will watch a lot of HDR content, the C9 gets quite a bit brighter than the CX and OLEDs are already dim so you want every bit of brightness you can get. Biggest winner for the C9.

I have a LG OLED 65" B7a, but I got it at an unbelievable deal for $1196.00.

A store in far north Dallas, Nebraska Furniture, ran a 12 page circular ad, and in the middle, in a block about an inch and a half square they listed these at that price. The ad came out in the evening and I picked up a Slickdeals notice. I was the second person in line the next morning. Stood outside for 2 hours waiting on the door to open. Was really sweet checking out. They were selling everywhere else for $2695 at the time, down from $3295 when they first came out.

I have a c7, and unfortunately I got fricked a bit with the vertical banding issue. It’s not terrible, and I only notice it occasionally when night scenes are lit a certain way. I know it was a fairly common issue when they first released them so hopefully they’ve corrected it by now.

I don't know why anyone would be watching a TV in a room flooded with sunlight.

I still use my 50" Panny plasma. I used to perform calibrations as a certified ISF calibrator and trainer. That set looks every bit as good as my OLED, just not 4k.

I still have my panasonic in the bedroom now but waiting until Vizio comes out with their OLED in a month for the living room 55" to fit in the built-in spot the plasma doesn't fit at our new house. Looking forward to joining the 21st century.

I had a pioneer kuro plasma but a fair amount of pixels had started to flicker and die so I got the b6. Plasma was excellent

Many, many times I have seen 4K TV's I want to get, only to fall back on, "Why? my TV looks great! Perfect color balance, perfect grey scale, great black levels (but not OLED black, admittedly), incredible color saturation. Forget buying new."

I have the 65" LG OLED in the family room and the Panny Plasma in my front study (where I go to be by myself and read or watch por..er..movies by myself.

I have been impatiently waiting for them now since they were announced.

September 13th. Just a few days before CFB kickoff. Want to get an Arc as well.
