I preordered through Apple. I got an update today from UPS at 11, saying that it had cleared the customs agency at 1:35 am, but couldn’t tell me when it will be delivered. Called UPS and they tell me China is on holiday and doesn’t know why Apple would release during that time. So then I call Apple and they tell me it’s due to a typhoon in the area and that I can’t go by their delivery date of the 21st, that is still posted.

Ugh sucks. it's 7:20 and UPS still hasn't showed up. I'm bout to go nuts...

Went from the 7 to the max and honestly, I might downgrade to the Xs. I haven’t put a case on the max yet and it’s already a monster.

My wife wants me to get an iPhone because she has one. I just can't stand the iPhone not having a back button. I feel like a damn caveman every time I use her phone getting pissed at technology

Androids use to mandate a back button in their hardware. I don’t think any of them have them now? All in software.

I tried a galaxy a while back and it had a back button above the chin of the phone, next to a circular home button

My Pixel has a back button. Every Android has a back button.

For those of you who are coming from Android (Google Pixel XL for me), and are starting fresh (not looking to import anything from Android) into new iPhone, what is the best way to transfer contacts?
I don't mind having to type them in again -- if I can do it from the web? This is a great time for me to clean out my phone contacts, but prefer to do it from the web instead of the phone.
Suggestions?

You can just transfer them from your google account.
If you go to passwords & accounts in settings, you can sign into your google account and transfer just what you want to transfer over. You don't have to bring your mail, calendar, etc. Once they are in, you can delete the account again.

So, I went and got the last 128gb iPhone SE left in a 40 mile radius to me the other day and I'm curious......should I avoid updating my iOS software to version 12?
It came with 11.3, but I'm worried upgrading may cripple my phone since it's one that is on the way out of their product line. They don't know, nor care, that mine happens to be brand new out of the box as of three days ago.

iOS 12 is one of the best OS builds from Apple in awhile, so upgrade it now.

I don't doubt that, but given the talk that has existed in the past that Apple purposely slows down older phones' performance with their updates, is it wise? Remember, I've got the SE......the phone they are phasing out entirely.
