I played with it for just a second - my biggest gripe was edge control and from what I’ve read they fixed a lot of it. Switching the fake aperture after the fact is awesome.
Here’s a side by side just testing out the new camera. The dynamic range on the XS is incredible:
7 on the left, XS on right. I tapped on the antenna in the window as the pictures focal point. The amount of light on the XS vs the 7 is worth the upgrade to me alone.

What Cases are you all buying? Need one for an XSMax and an XS
Seems to be alot of options similar to my trust Otterbox but way cheaper.

I slapped the otterbox defender pro on my immediately after taking it out of the box.

I am not sure yet. X was pretty damn fast. I plan to buy that game they were hyping to see what it looks like. The X camera was a awesome and this is even better.

Finally was able to pick mine up. The store had all sorts of system trouble. I thought that was weird considering this isn't exactly Apple's first rodeo. Any way I'm over that now. This is my first experience with Apple's face recognition. Man! It is seamless and instantaneous, I didn't think it was even turned on at first!

Got mine running a few hours ago, much happier with the screen size of the Max. Good upgrade, I'm happy. To install 12.1 or not to install 12.1?

Portrait apatutre adjustments are pretty wild.
F16:
F4.5 - halfway “open”:
F1.4 - all the way open:
You can see hair on her neck blurring at the tip even at the lest blurry setting - this is where this method falls short. Even then, pretty wild to have this in your pocket:
And this is where I’ve always seen it fall apart - upper right of the can:
ETA just discovered you could turn portrait off all together:

Just took this one, detail is wow! Sorry guys, won’t flood this thread with beer pics but the camera and ability to adjust the background afterwards is pretty damn cool.
