You could just dump them until football season, otherwise that’s your cheapest option

Funny thing about this board is if a provider has a specific channel that YouTubeTv didn’t have , your main recommendation would still be YouTubeTv. Anything Google and there is spluge everywhere.

I don't watch ESPN unless it's a college football game. I don't watch the news channels like Fox, CNN, etc.. so just cancelled Youtube TV. I'll get it again in the fall. I got Locast for all my locals. It's free, but if you sign up for $5 a month, you don't get constant requests for donations.

I have an antenna connected for locals but my sets aren't anywhere near the outputs. I need a way to receive the locals and wirelessly broadcast in my home, with a channel guide.

You need an HDHomerun, and maybe the Channels app.

Thanks.

I’m just tired of paying for boatloads of channels that I don’t watch.

Paying for informercials is particularly irritating.

If the full suite of ESPN content is ever offered for $15 / month as a standalone streaming service it'll be the death of cable and satellite TV.

If espn does that and bans YouTube from all channels, every baw in here will opt for Google and suggest you ditch ESPN for YouTubeTv

Your cheapest option is sling orange + sports package. Will run you about $50. The only other 2 "legal" options I know of are YouTube TV or Hulu Live.

Youtube TV is $65 a month. Don't know all the channels or if there are commercials w their On demand; but it'll give you the full ESPN & SEC network channels

Hulu Live is $65, and for an extra $6 you can get rid of commercials on their On demand shows/movies

Now it's just called ATT TV and it's still around. Probably the second best option IMO after YoutubeTV for a variety of channels.

I mean, they would make bank from August to January, but with NFL, MLB, March Madness, Golf, etc being on other channels, I don't see cable services going away. Maybe you have a few diehards that want to watch outside of their main sports, but for me I just subscribe to Sling for football season then pause it for several months.

This LINK helped me out a lot. With this setup you can broadcast your antenna signal to any smart device hooked up to your network, we use fire sticks and download the HDHomeRun app. Has a guide and DVR.

I also have Plex pass which allows me to steam the antenna channels outside my network. Good for catching Saints games if I’m a restaurant/city/state that isn’t showing the game, streams the local broadcast from my house right to my phone.

This. There's no need to give Disney money during the off-season. Cancel your cable and sign back up in September.

I'm the only one in the family that watches football. We have netflix, amazon and philo. it does great for the family . I just get on the internet doing the football season and find a stream. I pay about 100 a month for internet and streaming. Much cheaper than most and we are happy with choices.
