I'm surprised to hear this. Reading plans and specs is most of what we use it for.

Did you train it yourself to do that? Or do you use a service for that? I've toyed with the idea of training it to do take-offs for me, but a) It seems it would still take a lot of double-checking as a mistake in my bid could be very costly, and B) plans these days are so much worse than plans 10-20 years ago. Architects put out shite plans and expect miracles.

I should be more specific. The issue is reading PDFs that are scanned in. Not Pdfs I create from own data
