Live in Metairie, so I don't think I need a long range, but I honestly have no idea.

Digital antennas don't exits. You need an antenna.
Look into antennaweb, check out antenna man. They'll steer you right.

Yeah, antenna Man on YouTube has excellent information and reviews on most antennas. He also shows you how to set it up and properly ground it. Tons of good general information there, and what you will need for the new OTA standard that is slowly being rolled out.

No such thing as a digital antenna, that is a scam.

I am also in Metairie... There was an antenna already in my attic when I bought my house. It's one of those big triangle type antennas on a stand. At the widest point is maybe 5 feet? I hooked up a coaxial cable and ran down to my TV. I get all the over the air channels clearly.

His name is Tyler and he is on YouTube. He definitely has good advice on anything dealing with OTA signals

Just don't buy one of those "200" mile antenna's they do not work well. As close as you are to the stations it's not going to take too much, I can pick up 30+ channels on my camper antenna from Fontainebleu State park And its nothing more than a frisbee mounted on a stick!

When I cut the cord, I bought a ClearStream 4V and a couple other ones from Best Buy with the intention to try them all and return the worst two. I hooked them straight to the splitter where my cable came into the house and ran the scan on my TV's. The ClearStream won out and I mounted it in the attic. It's probably been there for 10yrs or so without any issues.

I got an indoor one to pick up my local FOX affiliate, which is in a months-long dispute with DirecTV. It's all about position with it. Once in the sweet spot, it is great, but moving it 6 inches can make it terrible.

I have a $15 leaf clone on my back porch TV here in Metairie. It's tie wrapped to the mount. I get everything but WYES.
