Wife and I want to cut cable to save money. Would like to just have internet and stream stuff. Thinking of keeping cox internet and using Slingtv. What are some other options?

Everything you need to know is on the Tech Board.
ETA: I recently cancelled Cox. I use Fire TVs for hardware, using PSVue along with Prime and Netflix. Google WiFi for mesh router system and one of the newer Arris Surfboard modems.
No buffer, no drops, no complaints

Just fyi, I was a cord cutter for 4 years. Recently I got DirecTV. You can get DirecTV packages with guaranteed pricing for the length of the contract, that have more channels for the same cost as internet/streaming

I currently have cox and sling tv with no issues. I pay $40 for blue and orange plus an additional $10 for a different sports package.

We’ve only had internet and rabbit ears.
It’s great to not let your life be ruled by the tv.

I did the same, plus dtv gave me a $300 visa gift card. The only thing is you need to bundle with internet to get the best price.

I assume most on this sports site enjoy watching live sports, and you can not do that with Netflix.
I completely agree with you in principle though, if I didn't watch live sports, I would only have Netflix and internet

I watch twitch for free and stream sporting events from reddit. DirecTV is cheaper than that?
