It will be under the roof of my porch with no chance of rain hitting it.
Doesn't need to be a smart tv.
I was looking at the Visio D32HN-E1 for only $140.00 but a lot of reviews say it gives out after like 3 months indoors so I'm kinda hesitant.
Any suggestions?

I bought a 40 inch TCL last year on Prime Day and it is on my covered back porch since the day it came in. Working like a champ.

I see they have a 32 inch 720P available on Amazon for $150

For $20 more you can get the same model with Roku built in.

Thanks I'll check it out

Did you buy one of those black vinyl covers to put on the tv when not in use?

I bought a samsung 43' for like 299 but the way the sun sets, it really wasn't worth it. Took it off the other day.

Vizio all the way. Great TV and value even for the 4K models.

Just my two cents but go and look at a 32 in a store and you will see how tiny it is. My computer screen is a 32

For $30-40 more you can get a 40-42 inch and it's well worth it. When in doubt always go bigger in regards to TVs

TCLs with the built in Roku are perfect for outdoor TVs. I got one for my parents outdoor patio and they love it

I put an old Panasonic flatscreen we had out on the patio. It too was completely protected from the elements (rain, etc) except for evening sun. It lasted about 6 months and all the buttons stopped working.

I always go with the Best Buy insignia. Have nothing but good things to say. I have a 55" outside that I paid 399 for.

Go to Costco, buy it, get the warranty. They just replace it no questions asked

I can't get these shitty tvs we own to die so I can upgrade them

That's probably because they're not used everyday, but I've got TCLs and Hisense and other 200 dollar specials that just keep trucking along (including ones that see considerable outdoor use).

So OP, I'd definitely go bigger and just buy whatever is cheapest. Outdoor TVs should probably be thought of as disposable, but you may nonetheless get a long life out of one.

I agree with this.

I started out with a 32" TV on my porch but it was much too small. I upgraded to a 40" a couple of years later which made a huge difference but still wish I had gone bigger.

Fwiw Both TVs still work great after being outside for 3-4 years each

50-55" TVs are the price that I paid for the 40" a few years ago. I would recommend that size range now

I bought a cheap LED visio and bought the extended warranty. I figured if it went out from the moisture I'd get a new one and if I didn't have a problem with it in 3 years it probably wouldn't ever have a problem.
