How much are you guys saving? What’s your set up on services (sling, YouTube, etc and internet speed/package)? By the time you pay for internet and services is it worth it? I hate the cable companies but it seems like they gonna get theirs one way or a another. Do internet caps get you?

I was paying $210+ for cable and internet. I ditched cable, doubled my internet speed, subscribed to psvue and purchased 2 fire TVs and now spend ~$140/mo. Broke even on the hardware purchases a few months in and have been saving ever since.

I’m fortunate enough to have an isp with no data cap so that’s no issue for me.

So Perm,I already used Netflix and Amazon prior to cutting the cord, and of course already used internet so I don't factor in those things when I evaluate what I am saving.

Prior, was paying for Cox, $145 a month

Now, Directv Now w/ HBO, $45

so, $1,200 a year

No clue. I was just tired of DTV increasing my payment and I would have to call and get it reduced.

Went from 160ish to just paying for internet, $80ish a month.

Kodi for TV shows & Movies (including any Netflix/Hulu/Prime exclusive shows) $0

IPTV for live 1080 TV and all movie channels, sports packages and PPVs. Also has a free app for watching on phone. One time payment of $60 for the year.

So 80 a month for literally anything and everything.

Going on 3+ years now.

I have Cox for internet and Hulu Live. I was gonna have regular Hulu anyway, so $30 difference for Live. Internet is $70, so $100 total. Was paying $140 for cable + internet before. Will probably cancel the Live upgrade after football season ends to save that $30

No cap for Cox here yet. Wouldn’t hit it anyway. Did have to upgrade my WiFi, but probably needed to anyway. Google WiFi is great

Then I find streams and ChromeCast everything else

Do you have an antennae for local channels? If so what kind do you have?

I was paying $120ish for just the TV side of things before I switched to PSVue. After a few rate hikes I'm paying $80 a month but I have all the channels I watched before plus HBO and Showtime. It is missing NBC, Fox and the CW, in the BR area but I'm still able to watch all the shows and sports through network apps.

After looking at the channel lineups I can probably downgrade to the $60 level and not miss anything until Game of Thrones comes back.

I'm paying about ~60/month less with YouTube TV versus cox all in.

Netflix is 15/month
YouTube TV is 35
Cox internet is 85 (complete screwjob)

Just waiting on att fiber to make the switch.

I could get the same speeds from ATT for about 20 a month less but I don't feel like dealing with that hassle and using att's stupid modem router thing just to save a few bucks.

I'll put up with that to get 10x speed, but not to get the same speeds.

Like others, I dont count internet because I would have it regardless of TV package and I didnt upgrade when I switched to streaming due to already having fiber. I already had Netflix and Prime so I dont count those either.

I was paying $120 for Dish and now pay $53 for PSVue(sports package lineup) so saving about $800 a year.

Did buy a $70 HD antenna and two fire sticks($40 each I think). I could have gone with a cheaper antenna but I over did it for some reason. CBS is the only major local PSVue doesnt offer in my area.

Not massive savings. I mainly cut the cord because I wasn't even turning on the box for long periods of time.

At the moment, I still have basic cable because it is cheaper to have basic + internet than internet alone. I think I've turned the basic box on about twice this year to watch a football game.

I had already migrated to spending most of my viewing time on Netflix / Amazon / Hulu so once I got fed up with ESPN there was no reason to keep cable.

I think I save about $60 per month over what I was paying a few years ago. Eventually they will just bump the internet as high as having full cable.

Internet only $50.

$60 a year for IPTV which includes every channel, NFL SUNDAY Ticket, NBA League Pass, MLB, and PPV.

$3 a year for Hulu(Adding $3 bucks a month to Spotify account, because the boss lady wants this)

Cinema and Showbox are free for every movie/tv show.

It's been awhile since I have had cable. So I can't really say how much i'm saving. I'm probably paying more now actually since i discovered IPTV

I use to stream everything for free, because i never watch normal tv only sporting events.

Can someone explain the iptv stuff to me? Is it reliable? What is the best source for it. I'm closing in on ending my contract with dtv, and will go back to streaming. I have rokus and Amazon fires

I pay just for internet..
I have a 2nd generation Fire TV.
I loaded Mabdro, Terrarium TV (yes it still works) and some other APKs. I also loaded Firefox and am able to watch Firstrow for sports.
The APKs are not for everybody. You are at the mercy of who ever is streaming. For instance I am watching the NFL channel and all of sudden it starts streaming the NHL channel..Bastard! It's free so you just have to deal with it.

I was lucky enough to purchase DirecTV Now when it launched first month. Still have my promotional package at a dirt cheap rate of $40/mo with HBO. It was originally $35. Well over 100 channels and every sports channel you will need except Pac12 Net...which no one has.

I pay $53 for LUS 100 Fiber.

Purchased a Tablo for over the air recording and paid the $150 lifetime subscription to avoid monthly bills.

Overall, I pay $93/mo for cable/Internet with zero problems and DVR for both cable and OTA channels.

Cox started included my bundle saving on my bill. If I were to drop cable, my internet would go up by $20 so switching to sling/PSVue/youtubetv/etc wouldn't really save me anything.

I pay
$40 for Hulu
$11 for Netflix
$80 for Internet.

I probably pay around what I had before. But I am about to let Hulu go now that football season is over.
