Just curious as to why wired headphones?

Like great quality over the head wired headphones or just to listen to music?

i have an electric piano; i don’t know if it has blue ray capabilities because it’s several years old. i want to learn piano without subjecting the whole family to the impending dissonance that will result.

Sony MDR 7506. Pretty much the industry standard.

Most electric pianos are exclusively laser disc or HD DVD

(Just get Senny HD560s or similar)

Quality can mean a lot of things. I have Dan Clark Audio Noire X and I absolutely love them.

Damn, over $1000 for headphones. I guess I'm old.

I didn't even know planar headphones were a thing until about a year ago. My friend let me use his and I was hooked. These are audiophile headphones, so not appropriate for a lot of applications. But with the right equipment they can be magic.

My hearing is going so it would be a waste on me. I know that those who truly appreciate good sound still love the vinyl because the sound is purer and every nuance can be heard. So I guess you need high quality output to really enjoy it. Trust me, I get it

I bought a set of Sennheiser HD 600 headphones almost 30 years ago, and they're still great. I've swapped out the foam padding over the years and the cable, but they still sound as good as new.

That said, I don't know if they're still made with the high quality materials they were back then, but assuming the drivers are the same - they are worth the money.

ZMF is made in Chicago. Their Atrium Open or Caldera Open will be my next headphones. I have Hifiman Arya Organics now powered by a Hifiman Serenade DAC/Amp and love them.

Next move before the ZMF headphones will be the ZMF Aegis tube amp.

I just got into the hobby in March-April and am so far down the audiophile headphone rabbit hole that it will take a while for me to get out!

My use is just to listen to music. Sounds like you need a closed back of some kind.
