I’ve been using YouTubeTv. I notice sling (orange and blue $40 package) comes w quite a bit more select channels.

What are drawbacks of sling. Seems like dvr capability is a big disadvantage. Is there a limit on number of devices streaming at once? Is interface and guide simple like YouTube tv etc?

What does it have that YouTube TV doesn’t? I just got YouTube TV and am pretty satisfied with it.

I wasn't a fan of sling but that was 3 years ago. I had live sports events hang up often and no it wasn't a problem with my 100mb connection.

I would imagine they are better today. Just try the free trial.

Did the trial for Sling and ended up with DTV now. You have to get both the orange and blue package to real get everything.

I have DTVN. Works for us. We get a big discount being ATT mobile unlimited data.

My only complaint is how long the guide takes to load.

You can do that on sling as well.

Sling now has a DVR.

Sling does not have local channels like CBS, NBC, ABC. That is the major downside.

YouTubetv doesn’t have basic channels such as HGTV, food network, DIY, travel channel, nick, nickjr. That’s why I’m not switched over yet.

Sling is cheaper.

I've been using Sling for 3+ years.

No local channels, get yourself a digital antenna.

I have no issues w/ buffering or quality of video.

I have 100+mb cable internet. You can install app on whatever mobile device etc too and watch on road

I've had SlingTV for a few years. It isn't user-friendly on somethings, but overall no issues. I mainly use for sports on my FireTV and I streamed the LSU game while driving to Disney, a lot of buffering on mobile, but not their fault. I do have issues with content, some is pretty old, but I love the Outside Channel. I had the DVR, but real issues with using it. No Fox News is an issue and they play the same commercials over and over on live sporting events. I use OTA antennae for Locals, get 16 channels. I use KODI and Netflix for everything else. If you wife like food, travel, and home channels, you are good.

I tried a bunch of them and liked PSvue the best. It had the channels I wanted and the guide experience that for me was the closest to a cable type guide.

What are you streaming Sling on?

I had a Gen 2 Roku and it buffered a lot. Switched over to the AppleTV 4K and haven't had an issue since.

I also hear the FireTV/sticks have no buffer issue either.

I had Sling for a few years and switched to YouTubeTV mainly for this reason. I have a hard time getting CBS over the air in BR.

We just bailed on sling for Hulu. Wife and I like Hulu much better. The lack of local broadcasting on Sling is a major pain and I’ve had it with flimsy indoor antennas that you have to hold while standing on one foot to work.

I had the same experience. No point in using sling on Xbox
