Thinking about making the switch from Cox to ATT for phone, TV and internet. Thoughts?

Do it, but go direct TV through ATT instead of Uverse. Much cheaper, at least it was when I switched from Uverse to DirectTV after ATT bought them.

Had uverse internet for 2 years. Was a pretty awful experience. Internet was down regularly and I had 4 modem failures during that time. Switched to charter which is faster, cheaper, and more stable.

The new customer bundle pricing is about the same, but with DIRECTV you will get Sunday ticket for free the first year and DIRECTV is a better product than uverse tv.

Uverse internet isn't as good as cable internet, but you won't notice the difference for normal usage.

Just switched too because, as stated, COX SUX!!!

Got Direct TV. If you have ATT Unlimited Plus plan you can get Direct Tv for about half price on any package for two years, free installation, plus NFL Sunday Ticket free for 2017. (Plus all movie channels for three months--HBO comes free with Unlimited Plus--phone AND TV)

As stated above, DirecTV is our premier television service. Uverse iptv does okay when it's running on our fiber optic hsia. Otherwise, it's not the best. If you have ATT (or any) fiber optic option where you are, get the fastest speed you can afford and get DirecTV for video. We'll mount the dish on a pole at your request.

I install it all, and if the fiber is done properly, and the satellite is properly aligned, you will get probably the best service platform available in the US. 1000x1000 symmetrical. DTV's HD feed may go out in a storm, but it takes a hurricane to knock off the standard definition feed--which almost all channels have.

Also, if you have or can get a solid hsia provider, you can cut the cord and just go with the DirecTV Now (online only) service. It's like $20 per month, and it gets you a chunk of the major network programming.

It's not all nightmares. The price can't be beat if you are going the full bundle deal. If you can't get Direct TV and keep it for 2 years, they are basically paying you.
Yes I've spent many days arguing with their customer service, but eventually you will get what you want. Speeds are okay for streaming, and channel lineup blows Cox out the water for the price.

When i shopped for service in February, DIRECTV bundled with uverse internet was cheaper than any cord cutting option (a la carte internet plus psvue or dtvnow). Throw in Sunday ticket, the $350 gift card promo, free installation and equipment, and DIRECTV bundled with uverse internet is a no brainer for anyone that can get it.

Only for like 6-12 months then they jack your price up through the roof after all the discounts end

I had Cox, went to att and now going back to Cox.

Cox internet shits all over ATTs at much better cost too. Both now have data caps, so there's absolutely no reason to go att uverse for internet

I have had it for two weeks in BR and can confirm that has been far worse than Cox.

wrong, they stopped doing this a while ago (probably when att took over). the bundle packages have one guaranteed rate for 2 years.

Glad to have run across your post. I'm moving to BR in a neighborhood with uverse and cox. I've been a cox subscriber for years and wanted to try uverse. Can you explain some of the main differences? I cut the cord over 5 years ago and only use internet.
