I'm glad I retained my Android, instead of getting the 5C (because I thought about switching over), but damn.

Have enjoyed my S5, larger screen and being able to do a couple extra things that weren't allowed on my iPhone have been cool.

Predictive text sucks, but it can be turned off.

The backspace key moves to fast, probably can be adjusted.

Harder to text with one hand

For some reason it comes to life in my pocket ( ). Doesnt unlock, but starts making noise and I realize it is on the unlock screen.

SwiftKey keyboard. Well worth the couple bucks for the full version. Give it a couple weeks to learn your style and words and you'll never go back.

I use the shite out of the talk to text feature, but I guess I have too much of an accent or something. It is always jumbling shite up.

Also, try asking for Jim's in Marigny.

Did it, still nothing.
Called ATT, they tried it, still nothing.
Sent Apple a text To unsubscribe 5 times, still nothing.
Finally had to call apple (customer service was down for at least half a day) and then they took 30 minutes to unsubscribe me.

Then said that it would be up to 48 hours until it was fixed.

There "in the mean time" solution to the fix was to ask all my contacts to delete me from their phone then re-add me.

It's shady business but it's apple's business to run as they see fit. I don't think it's lawsuit worthy.

I can see if you justify it by costing you money, you incurring a loss.

For instance mine was happening while I was in the process of selling my home. The buyer sent me several messages that she assumed I received, she waited 24 hours to call and that is when I realized something was really up.

Actually, it takes a few days for other peoples imessage to figure it out for whatever reason, but not sue worthy.

The biggest thing I would think is to make sure you change the phone number from iPhone to mobile in your contact list. on my iPhone, if I don't have someone listed as an iPhone, it texts them instead of iMessage's them.

The ability to sue for stupid shite like this will be the absolute destruction of this country. It is fricking bananas that we, as a country, have gotten so spoiled and bratty that we will sue someone because a convenience doesn't work right for a few days.

I actually just had this problem. I turned off iMessage on the iPhone and returned it and my messages still didnt work for a few days. Had to call Apple and get the iPhone taken off of my Apple account and then create a new contact and send it to the person I was trying to text that had an iPhone. More of an annoyance than anything else but I dont think I would sue over it. All in all it took about 5 days to get it all fixed.

Why should Apple do anything for a customer that is switching?

iMessage is Apple software.

I don't think anyone gives a shite what they do with iMessage. However, of they're software is preventing people from getting messages that are meant for them, that's a problem.

The physical layer affecting the content layer is always a problem.

I assume everyone who is against net neutrality or reclassification is all for this right? There's nothing wrong with Apple regulating how and when you receive communications right? Imagine if they did this with all your emails and everything else you view on the Internet.
