Is Apple fitness worth it to switch to Apple watch? It’s already included in my Apple one subscription.

IMO Apple Watch is one of the most useful parts of being in the Apple ecosystem.
It's a good fitness watch, the notifications work well, calls work well, etc. Some allegedly seamless products from Apple aren't (cough, Airpods Pro Max), but the AW is not one of those and works really consistently. Other than the walkie talkie thing, I've never had a single frustrating experience.
I've done Garmin and Fitbit and both were finicky as far as fitting into Apple connectivity. Garmin is good in its own right, though.

Can someone break down the camera upgrades? I don't really know anything about cameras. I have an X, and ideally I'd wait until the 14 because my phone runs fine, but I would really like to up my camera game especially being a new dad and taking more pictures than I ever have before.

I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max and I’m looking to downsize to the mini. How much battery will i be losing and what’s new on the mini this year as opposed to last?

As a new dad you're going to take a million pics. So I wouldn't wait. It's a huge camera upgrade from where you are, especially low light stuff.

1TB models wow
The 3x zoom is making me consider upgrading.

I’ve got a paid off 11. I’ll likely upgrade to the 13 pro

It will be substantially less battery life, but they're very different devices; the mini is light and compact; it's my favorite model; surprised it hasn't sold well.
I charge mine some during the day at work and have a magsafe battery pack for traveling; battery life isn't much different from my iPhone X.

Rumors said they would announce new AirPods but I guess that’s for later.

How much of a drop off is the camera from 11 pro max to 13 mini?

Is mag safe worth the upgrade? That and the 3x camera is making me consider it but still leaning to no to save $50 a month.

I’ve got the Xs Max and my battery health is in the 70’s… so I think I’ll wind up with an upgrade this year.
But it baffles me that we’re still hung up on the lightning connector - even after switching all of the iPad’s to USB-C, we don’t change the iPhone.

rumor has it that one day they will remove a connector slot all together and make it all wireless.

If my truck supported wireless car play I wouldn’t use my lightning port at all.

I much prefer the lightning connector for phones. It’s thin, collects less pocket lint, and has a satisfying snap when you plug it in.

Do you think usb-c connectors don't snap into place?

As an old dad, I wish I had taken more pictures. There's nothing like looking back at old pictures/videos of your kids. You won't regret taking too many pictures of your kids when they're little.

Yea that watch announcement was depressing. I have the Series 5 and there's not much reason to upgrade.
Slightly larger... slightly better battery. Meh, I'll hold off.
I'm thinking about getting the SE or 6 if they drop the prices any when the new one comes out. I still have a Series 3 Nike edition. My wife can't seem to find hers, and I've had this one for a few years so might treat myself to a newer model and let her use my current one. But no reason to get this latest model.
